Chapter 4: Pokémon Home Gains Unexpected Fame

"I'm terribly sorry! I sincerely apologize. Shinx has caused you trouble. Shinx, quickly apologize!" 

In the plaza of Yuehai Pavilion, Keqing bowed slightly in apology to the approaching Millelith while shooting a sharp glare at Shinx. 

"Meow↗ ah~" 

Beside her, Shinx lowered its head dejectedly, looking apologetically at the Millelith. 

"Haha, Lady Keqing, you must be joking! There's no need to apologize. But I must say, your pet is truly impressive." 

The leading Millelith captain, Yan Bang, chuckled, though he still eyed the seemingly well-behaved Shinx with a hint of apprehension. 

When they had first been summoned, they hadn't thought much of it. After all, it was just a small kitten, barely reaching their knees. How strong could it possibly be? They were elite soldiers of Liyue, after all. 

But they quickly realized that things weren't as simple as they had assumed. 

This little creature was frighteningly fast and shockingly powerful. One of their soldiers had been hit square in the chest by it—and was immediately knocked unconscious. 

When they checked on the unlucky soldier, they saw a massive bruise on his chest. Just looking at it made their scalps tingle. 

Now, the entire squad was panicking. This level of speed and attack power was comparable to some Vision holders. 

To make matters worse, this creature could generate electricity! 

Electricity! Elemental power! 

While they were still racking their brains on how to subdue Shinx, Keqing had been drawn out by the commotion outside. Seeing the scene unfold, she had immediately stepped in. 

Keqing, still filled with guilt, pulled out a pouch of Mora and handed it to Yan Bang. 

"I'll cover the injured soldier's medical expenses. Take him to Bubu Pharmacy and have Dr. Baizhu check on him. Make sure he fully recovers and doesn't develop any lingering issues." 

As she spoke, she shot another sharp glare at Shinx, looking exactly like an exasperated mother dealing with a mischievous child. 

"You're too kind, Lady Keqing. Also, if I may ask… where exactly did you get this little fellow?" 

Yan Bang hesitated for a moment before accepting the pouch of Mora. However, his gaze lingered on Shinx, his curiosity evident. 

From their brief encounter, he had seen firsthand the potential of this creature—it was practically a beast-like Vision holder. 

Keqing paused for a second before flashing a small smile. 

"Oh, you mean this little one? This is my starter Pokémon. I bought it from Pokémon Home at Chihu Rock for 530,000 Mora." 

"530,000 Mora…?" 

Yan Bang stroked his chin. Based on what he had just witnessed, this creature wasn't as strong as a full-fledged Vision holder but was certainly comparable to someone with elemental abilities. 

Spending 530,000 Mora for something that could freely use elemental power? 

That was an absolute bargain. 

He had to admit—he was tempted. 

Perhaps acquiring some of these so-called Pokémon for the Millelith could be beneficial. If they were as powerful as they seemed, the Millelith's strength would improve dramatically. Difficult missions would become significantly easier, especially those involving powerful monsters. 

Previously, whenever Liyue faced monstrous threats, only the Adepti could handle them. The people of Liyue had always relied on the protection of the Adepti and Morax like helpless children. 

But if they could incorporate these creatures into their ranks, perhaps Liyue could start handling these threats on their own. 

Keqing had also considered this, which was why she had freely told Yan Bang where to find Pokémon. 

"Well then, Lady Keqing, since the misunderstanding has been cleared up, we'll take our leave. That soldier is still waiting for Dr. Baizhu to treat him." 

After some thought, Yan Bang finally snapped back to reality, offering Keqing a polite smile. 

He decided that once he finished his patrol of the Jade Chamber, he would investigate this Pokémon Home. 530,000 Mora was a significant sum for him personally, but for the truly wealthy, it was nothing. 

It just so happened that he was scheduled to report to Ningguang later—he would take the opportunity to inform her about this as well. 

With that, Yan Bang signaled his men to carry the injured soldier and head toward Bubu Pharmacy. 

"Alright, everyone back to work! It's over now." 

Now that the issue was resolved, Keqing waved off the surrounding onlookers before picking up Shinx by the scruff of its neck and returning to her office. 

"You—! You almost got me into serious trouble this time!" 

As she walked, she scolded Shinx. 

Shinx's ears drooped, looking completely defeated. 

Seeing that it had realized its mistake, Keqing finally stopped lecturing and sighed in relief. 

Knowing one's mistakes and correcting them—that was what mattered. 

Once Keqing was out of sight, the remaining people in the area began whispering amongst themselves. 

"My god, Baiwen, did you see that? That little guy can discharge electricity!" 

"Yeah! And it seems really smart, like it actually understands what Lady Keqing was saying!" 

"And it's incredibly fast and strong… all that, from just a tiny kitten!" 

"I just wonder what its full potential is." 

The three sisters—Baiwen, Baixiao, and Baishi—huddled together, chattering excitedly. But midway through their discussion, they all burst into laughter. 

If such a creature really existed—one that could wield elemental power, understand human speech, and possess extraordinary physical abilities—then it would be no different from a Vision holder. 

530,000 Mora for a Vision holder? 

What kind of delusional dream was that? 

Then, suddenly, Baishi's eyes lit up. 

"Did you hear what Lady Keqing just said about that shop?" 

"Of course. Pokémon Home at Chihu Rock. Why, are you interested in buying one?" Baixiao asked with a smirk. 

For them—Ningguang's trusted secretaries—530,000 Mora was nothing. 

But the next moment, Baishi nodded seriously. 

"Judging from Shinx's performance, even if it never grows beyond what it is now, it's already worth the price. And its small size makes it easy to carry around, providing both companionship and security. It's an excellent investment." 

At that, the other two fell silent. 

If they looked at it that way… it really was worth considering. 

"Work is almost over. Do you two want to go check it out with me?" 

Seeing her sisters' growing interest, Baishi extended an invitation.
