For the next few days, Eleanor remained at their residence, unwilling to step outside and face the whispers that had taken a new, more absurd turn.

The noble circles had twisted the truth once again. What had once been mere speculation about the Prince's visit had now evolved into outright slander. The rumor now? Eleanor was two-timing two men.
