Mary Ann's easygoing nature had quickly endeared her to the temple's common priests. Unlike the other nobles they were accustomed to serving—who often carried an air of entitlement and demanded servitude—Mary Ann presented herself as approachable and relatable. 

She greeted everyone warmly, remembered names, and expressed genuine interest in their work and lives.
