Ch 111: Cornering the prey - Part 2

Fenrir observed the young priest with an impassive demeanor, his piercing gaze hidden behind the veil as he gauged the man's every move.

The tension in the air grew thick, and it was clear the young priest felt it too. The priest's breathing quickened, his fingers twitching as if ready to bolt. Fenrir took a slow step forward, his presence dominating the small space.

"You're protecting something—or someone," Fenrir said, his voice low and deliberate. "But you should know, secrets always have a way of coming to light."

The young priest's eyes darted to the door, his resolve weakening under Fenrir's unyielding scrutiny.

For a moment, it seemed like the priest might cave in, but then, with a sudden burst of movement, he bolted toward the exit. Fenrir made no effort to stop him. Instead, he simply watched as the priest disappeared into the dim corridors of the temple.
