Merchants and travelers from distant territories carried these tales, embellishing them with each retelling. Inevitably, the rumors reached the ears of Saint Jonathan, who found himself intrigued by the enigmatic man behind New Portland's resurgence.

In the grand hall of the central temple, Saint Jonathan leaned back in his ornate chair, swirling a goblet of crimson wine. The light streaming through the stained-glass windows painted his sharp features in hues of red and gold. He turned his piercing gaze toward Saintess Catherene, who stood composed and serene across the room.

"Catherene," he began, his tone casual but laced with curiosity. "What do you make of this Fenrir?"
