128: Lofty Ambitions - Part 2

The next morning, Kenith arrived at the inn, practically bouncing with excitement. He had barely slept the night before, the thrill of rebellion and newfound independence keeping him awake.

When he was shown into the sitting room, his eyes immediately sought out Fenrir. Kenith's expression softened when he saw him seated near the window, draped in his usual cloak. Beside Fenrir, Mary Ann and Rui sat quietly, observing their new guest.

Kenith bowed slightly. "Thank you for seeing me again."

Fenrir gestured toward a chair. "Sit. Let's talk."

Kenith obeyed, taking the seat with a nervous energy that was hard to miss. His eyes flicked between Fenrir, Mary Ann, and Rui, clearly eager to get started.

"I've been thinking," Kenith began. "There's a lot more I can do to help you. My father... He's blinded by his own fears. He refuses to see what's right in front of him. But I see it. I see your potential."
