She bent, and hurled me onto her back, and there again, we were running. Jessie smelled different, but sweet nonetheless.

As she ran, there was a pulsing in my head— a pulsing that increased its speed by the second. I closed my eyes, trying to ignore it, as it spread an ache in my head.

"Ahh." I let out softly.

"Are you okay!" Jessie asked, panting.

"Yes." I forced out, feeling like a lot of things were swimming in my head. The scent of Jessie's neck seemed to be the reason I was going crazy. My hand held my head, and I gritted my teeth, trying to hold on.

During Taylor's race, it got worse. My gums ached terribly, and the pounding in my head increased. The noise of the audience cheering intensified, sounding directly in my ear. Everything suddenly seemed ten times louder, and I could see the veins clearly beneath her skin. Something was awfully wrong with me. I couldn't keep it to myself. I had to tell Luke.
