Anti-Magic (Part 1)

=====================

Anti-magic, as the name implies, is a force that consumes and nullifies any trace of magic.

However, this understanding is deceptively simple.

At its core, anti-magic doesn't merely erase spells out of thin air. On a particle level, it counteracts magic by producing an opposing force or dismantling it entirely. Previous studies suggest two primary methods by which anti-magic operates:

The first is counteraction— a precise and deliberate response where anti-magic generates a specific energy opposite the target to neutralize it.

The second, simpler method is destruction. It requires no finesse or concentration, making it the most accessible yet volatile form of anti-magic.

"According to the first recorded anti-magic mage," Elenoir began, her voice soft, as though recounting an ancient fable, "there are three principles that govern anti-magic mastery."
