Luke's gaze remained calm, betraying no immediate reaction. He didn't say a word.

Perola frowned, tapping a manicured nail against her arm. "You're quite greedy, huh? That's worth hundreds of millions in your currency. If that's not enough…" She glanced at Laura.

Laura exhaled, looking slightly exasperated. "Add cursed materials—rare, invaluable for certain advanced magic. That's all we can offer."

Still, Luke said nothing. His silence weighed on the pair of them.

Finally, Perola's cheeks reddened. She shot a look at Laura, who nodded in reluctant agreement. They both seemed to steel themselves for a moment. "Fine. One more thing."

They stepped closer. Their black dresses shimmered in the sunlight, revealing just how deep the plunges went.

"We'll…spend a day with you," Perola offered, voice cracking only slightly. "In whatever manner you desire."
