Her entire body froze as a jolt of recognition shot through her.

She knew this person.

Her breath hitched, her fingers curling into fists at her sides. But the face remained elusive, partly obscured by the surrounding crowd of doctors.

"Who...?" she murmured, her voice trembling.

She stepped closer, her feet moving of their own accord. Her heart pounded louder with every step as she strained to catch another glimpse of the patient's face.

And then—

"Dr. Zhang, we need more suction!" one of the nurses yelled, snapping Hua Jing out of her trance.

Her gaze darted back to the scene, her unease deepening as the chaos unfolded before her.

Suddenly, another sound reached her ears—rushed footsteps echoing down the hallway.

Hua Jing instinctively turned toward the source, her breath catching in her throat as a familiar figure came into view.
