What I just said is true. I'm indeed training myself while teaching my students, including even Balthazar.
Such as now, I'm currently using Merlin's Magic to float several items from my room. I'm not using telekinesis here, but a simple application of air manipulation.
It might seem to be the same as telekinesis but vastly different. Air Manipulation, obviously from its name, controls the air, wind and oxygen, with a possibility of even the weather itself.
'This is amazing.' I muttered to myself while pulling one of the floating items close to my face. A metal cup to be exact.
I'm testing how many items I can control through air manipulation first, determining my capacity in manipulating air.
Of course, this is just a basic use of Air Manipulation, a more advance technique would be perhaps, extracting oxygen from someone's body. A terrifying way to kill someone.
Merlin's Magic is widely different from a normal one. From what I know, traditional magic requires complex calculations and mathematics, while Merlin's Magic is like using a calculator, easy and much convenient.
As long as I know how physics work, I can easily master Merlin's Magic.
A huge advantage to someone like me, who has lived on an era where physics and science have advanced far enough.
If someone were to see me in this room, they'd see all the items inside floating, including me.
That's right. I have achieved the state of flying without having to unfurl my unusual wings.
It's just a simple use of Air Manipulation to lift my body and command it to drag myself to wherever I want to.
Merlin's Magic is truly wonderful. Aside from Air, I can also manipulate other elements, like a true air bender.
I wonder if I can achieve this without the Dragon Ring.
Perhaps turn the Dragon Ring into something similar to a Sacred Gear? After all, the Dragon Ring doesn't have something like Thor's hammer, capable of being recalled by the owner with a simple thought command.
Or maybe I could just plant the latter? Use my knowledge in runes to make it so the Dragon Ring could be recalled at any time I want using my mind.
It's a simple mechanism, so it's not that hard to apply. Maybe I could create the rune and place it on the Dragon Ring tomorrow.
As a matter of fact, why don't I upgrade it on the way and make it so it could conjure portal so it cross even through dimensions and stuff.
It would be a cool and possible concept to do.
Knock! Knock!
I was suddenly interrupted out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." I said while carefully placing each items back to their places.
"M-Master." It was Tam who entered, his voice shivering slightly. What's happening now?
"What's the matter, child?" I asked with confusion.
"I-It's Johann." He gulped in nervousness. I swear if this is a childish prank, I'll throw this kid to Heaven.
"I-I think he opened a portal to Heaven."
God Fucking Dammit!
***
I quickly went outside the farm house and as soon as I did, I saw no portal anywhere, instead there's was a stranger standing on the porch.
Not exactly a stranger, he's wearing an all white robe with a small parts of a knight's armor around his upper body.
As soon as I made my presence known, the stranger shifted his attention to me, giving me a good look at his appearance.
Oh shit, this guy's beautiful, if Lucifer is handsome, then this man is a beauty.
Although the man looks feminine but his slightly broad and tall body is the opposite.
When our eyes met, I can see the look of recognition in his eyes, as if he knows what I am.
Or who I am, perhaps.
"Good morning, are you these children's master." The stranger asked me, gesturing to Belle, who was eyeing the stranger in confusion, Augustus, who was simply confused and finally, Johann, looking at the stranger with a complicated look on his face.
"Yes. Yes I am." I said while releasing my aura, no point hiding myself from this man, he definitely already knows what I am.
I can see the nod of appreciation from the man before he replied to me, introducing himself on the process.
"Well, nice to meet you, esteemed master. You see, a portal randomly opened in the 2nd floor in Heaven, and I decided to investigate this matter myself. Oh, my apologies, I haven't introduced myself yet." Bowing his head apologetically, the next scene made my eyes widen in surprise.
Not only the man unfurled a whole 12 set of white wings from his back but his words also shocked me to my core.
"My name is Michael, a Seraphim from Heaven." Not only me but also Johann was surprise.
Just to let you know, Johann used to be a faithful follower of the church, so of course he had heard of Michael.
Michael is like the Michael Jackson on Earth in terms of popularity.
The Sword of God, the One Who Sliced Samael from Heaven to Hell.
And finally, The Champion of Justice.
"Michael…" God dammit, where is God when I needed him the most?
This guy is no doubt stronger than me. This is the man who literally spartan kicked Lucifer when he was rebelling from Heaven.
One wrong move of mine and I might meet the same fate as him but much in a worst state.
However, I'm not sure, but at least I could sigh in relief that Michael won't attack me indiscriminately.
After all, Michael knows what I am and so far, he hasn't made a move against me.
Which means he won't be spartan-kicking me anytime soon.
"I was shocked that the portal actually breached Heaven's defenses, so I came by to meet the offender and it actually turned out to be a child." While Michael, there was not a hint of anger or anything from his tone, but simply an amused one.
He's even ruffling Johann's head, who is unable to react.
"Since you are their master, maybe we can have a short chat?" With that being said, his eyes already tells me that I can't and absolutely should not refuse him.
"Sure." I nodded my head in agreement and turned my attention to my students, including Tam, who was shivering just by being near Michael.
Don't worry kid, me too.
I led Michael inside the farm house and on the living room.
Thankfully, Grandpa Rad is out drinking again. But this time, I warned him to lessen his consumption.
With a flick of my magic, I telekinetically placed two cups on the table along with a teapot.
"Tea?" I offered and he nodded.
We didn't speak first. We just sat there, sipping on our teas like a bunch of royal nobles having diplomatic talks.
However, the truth is far from that. We were assessing each other, not just strength but also our posture and facial expressions.
Sometimes, you can read someone's thoughts just by looking at their face.
This is what we're doing here.
"Sorry for the trouble. If you were a normal wizard, I would've just informed you of the situation and returned but you're not." As soon as he finished his words, he took another sip as if what he just said won't brew a fight between us.
As much as I hate fighting an Angel, especially a Seralphim, for the sake of my life, I would fight Michael, even if God forbids it.
"Is there any exact reason why we're sitting here having a chat?" I couldn't bother to take a sip from the tea cup, I need to be cautious around the infamous Sword of God.
"Not much. I just want to tell you that I know you. A few months ago, Father couldn't stop rambling about a devil named Chamber, to the point that even Gabriel almost felt jealousy from it. Now that I met you in person, I just wanted to see who you really are in person." Michael finished.
'In other words, you want to see if I live up to the hype? Good to know.' I resisted the urge to sarcastically say it out loud.
"Well, I'm honored that Michael himself has heard about me." I humbly replied.
"….Say, you wouldn't mind for a spar, would you?"
"Pfft!" I spew the tea I just sipped on Michael.
God fucking dammit!
"You called me?" We both recoiled in shock upon seeing an old man appear between us, standing on the table.
God fucking yes!
"Father!" I can see the surprise in Michael's eyes as he stood and was about to kneel when God stopped him.
"Michael, my boy. No need for that you know." God chuckles.
"God." I simply bowed my head.
"Call me gramps." God pointed out, making my lips twitch involuntarily before sighing mentally.
If it wasn't for Michael's glare at me, as if telling me to do as God says, I would've ushered a complaint.
"Gramps."
"Hahaha! A child and grandchild of mine meeting together? This day can't be any happier!"
Why is he always referring to me as his grandchild? I don't remember having any Angel parents or something.
Is it because I'm a devil, like his son, Lucifer, in which, we share the same blood?
Though wouldn't that technically mean every devil is his grandchild?
"Come come! Let's share a tea together!" God grabbed a chair and conjured a white tea cup out of nowhere before sitting as if this was his home.
"Hah~ I'm so happy we can share a moment like this together." God said after taking a sip from his own tea cup.
"You speak as if you're going to die." I curtly replied. Even Michael shares the same feeling as I am.
However, God's next word made us froze.
"I might."
