"Where have you been all day?" Eiko asked when we arrived at the camp. I and Lux had separated already.

My lips curled in sudden annoyance; I didn't like that she asked at all, but I responded as softly as I could. "All day? I was gone for only three hours."

She arced an eyebrow scanning my figure, and a part of me panicked. I drowned that emotion, though. I didn't intend for my new weapons to be a secret. At least not to Eiko.

As expected, she noticed the black bracelet before glancing back at me. She had not been there when Lux mentioned his weapon, so she couldn't make any connections to it being a mighty magical item. Plus, no one would suspect a bracelet.

"I'm tired and honestly need rest," I explained, walking past her. She had been in front of my tent. I didn't bother to ask why.

"Hmm, I came looking for you because we have a little problem."
