Kiki's Secret Mission; Part-2

Imagine this: an abandoned building that screams "horror movie set." The kind of place where you just know something bad went down. Police tape? Check. Warning signs? Check. The faint smell of mystery and decay in the air? Oh, absolutely. And right above the entrance, there's this sign: "Mishi's Inn"—except it's hanging on by a thread and looks like it could fall down any second.

I swear, I can feel the chills creeping up my spine just by standing here. But why did we come here again? Oh yeah, Luv. And where the heck is he?

"What's with all this spookiness?" Zack grumbled, hands shoved in his pockets, giving the place the stink-eye like it owed him money.

Cho, being Cho, whipped out a file from God knows where and started reading off it like he was some kind of detective. "This inn was once pretty famous, but a bunch of tourists—mostly girls—died here, like, mass death-style. The cops investigated but found nothing, so the owner just dipped, and the place has been abandoned ever since. People are too freaked out to buy it because of the rumors. Honestly, no clue why we're even here; the incident happened over 60 years ago."

"Look at Cho, always acting like he's solving the mystery behind our backs," Chang huffed, clearly jealous as he crossed his arms. "What's he not telling us? I bet he's already pieced the whole thing together."

"As expected," Zack said, nodding like Cho was some kind of genius. Then, of course, he turned to me. My heart stopped for a second—his freckled face, those green eyes, the messy blonde hair... Why am I so nervous again?

"Kiki, why are you so quiet?" he asked, staring at me with that look, the one that makes my insides do flips.

Because I'm the narrator, I get to be all mysterious and quiet. Duh. "I-I what should I say?" I stuttered like a total weirdo, because I did have to act all shy in front of my crush. It's practically in the rulebook.

Zack blinked. "Huh?" he asked, confused.

And then, out of nowhere, some dude's voice cuts through the tension. "Flirting without me?"

We all whipped around in shock.

"GYAHAHH!" I screamed, not even trying to hide the fact I just had a minor heart attack. Blushes like crazy. Zack immediately threw a hand over my eyes. But—get this—the thing that scared me wasn't some ghost or monster or creepy guy in a suit. Nope. It was just a naked dude standing there like it was perfectly normal.

Wait... who is this?

"Luv?" Zack asked, sounding more confused than ever. "What happened to your clothes?"

Luv scratched the back of his head, looking unbothered. "Ah, well... the clothes... dissolved," he explained, as though that was the most normal thing ever.

I swear Cho's brain short-circuited for a second. "What?" he asked, his voice full of disbelief.

"I'll explain later," Luv said with a laugh that was so shameless I could practically hear the smirk. "Let's just go inside and investigate."

"Chang, give him your blazer," Zack said with a facepalm, clearly done with everything.

Chang reluctantly stripped off his blazer, which was about the size of a tent on him. It covered Luv from shoulders to knees. Barely. But it would have to do.

We all just stood there for a second, trying to process the fact that we were now inside some abandoned, haunted inn with a naked guy in a huge blazer. Oh, what a day this was going to be.

The inside of this place? Exactly as spooky as the outside. Big, dark, and probably crawling with something I definitely don't want to meet. But what really caught my attention was this door—covered in creepy, strange talismans and a smell so foul it practically slapped me in the face. Nope, not going near that.

"We should split up," Luv announced, like he didn't just walk into a house of horrors.

"At least tell us why we're here?" Chang yelled, clearly fed up.

"Just... anything that catches your eye," Luv said, as if he wasn't standing in the middle of a potential death trap.

Honestly, how are they ignoring that door? It's practically glowing with danger, and no one's even looking at it. Are they seriously too afraid to go near it? How stupid can they be?

AHHHHHH!

Okay, that scream? Not normal. I froze in place, completely rooted to the spot. Please don't tell me they still haven't noticed anything! How are they this oblivious?

I glanced at their faces. Sweat was pouring down their foreheads. They were all acting like they'd seen a ghost, trying to avoid looking at the door like it was a ticking time bomb. They're totally trying to pretend like it's not there—just so they don't get freaked out. How is that even a strategy?!

"I'll go with Zack. You three head upstairs," Luv said, sounding way too casual for someone standing in a haunted inn. Wait, what? He's seriously ignoring the door? A Splinter is afraid? A splinter can literally kill anything in its path, but now he's acting like he's afraid? And of all people, he's going with Zack? Alone? What kind of twisted pervert move is that?! Is he trying to keep my crush all to himself?

I watched them go—Zack's back looking way too cool, and Luv... well, Luv's clearly up to something. I can't even deal with this.

And then we split up. Great. Now I'm left standing here, staring at the creepy door of doom. I kinda feel useless. Actually, I feel useless every day, but today? It's on a whole new level of useless.

Just... perfect.
