Chapter 132: Yun Feng, You Won’t Tell, Right?

In the Douluo Continent, only the capital of the Star Luo Empire could rival Heaven Dou City. Although the subordinate kingdoms and duchies of the two great empires were less controlled than before, the empires' foundations remained solid. Centered around Heaven Dou City, the three major military districts of the Heaven Dou Empire held a combined force of over one million soldiers, showcasing their immense strength.

From a strategic standpoint, the Heaven Dou Empire's reluctance to impose strict control over its subordinate territories had its rationale. The kingdoms and duchies on the borders would be the first line of defense in case of war. This arrangement was both pragmatic and inevitable.

No emperor would willingly forgo complete authority, but the current situation on the continent made unification impossible. This fragmented structure was not only due to internal issues within the empires but also heavily influenced by the interference of major soul master clans and the Spirit Hall.

After all, a unified empire would never tolerate the existence of forces that undermined its rule.

To reach Heaven Dou City, the Shrek Academy group needed to traverse the northern Silves Kingdom after leaving Barak Kingdom. Only then would they enter the imperial territory surrounding the capital and head eastward to their destination—a journey spanning nearly 2,000 kilometers.

This lengthy trek underscored the vastness of the Heaven Dou Empire.

Among the Shrek team, Yun Feng, Dai Mubai, Tang San, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong all possessed soul storage tools, as did most of the teachers. These tools eliminated the burden of carrying supplies. Food and water prepared before departure were stored in these devices, ensuring enough provisions for at least ten days even without resupply.

"Alright, little monsters, you've had over a month to rest. Starting now, we're picking up the pace. Everyone must keep up with me. Otherwise... heh heh."

Flender's mischievous grin and sly glint returned as he grabbed Yu Xiaogang's arm and soared into the air. Without wasting a moment, he flew ahead, leaving the others behind.

Of course, Flender didn't travel at full speed. Zhao Wuji and the other academy teachers flanked him, keeping pace.

Seeing this, Yun Feng simply summoned his dragon wings and shot into the sky effortlessly, leaving the ground-bound Shrek students exchanging glances before breaking into a run. Their rigorous training had rendered them indifferent to ordinary running, even without soul power.

Even Oscar and Ning Rongrong could comfortably match Flender's current pace without difficulty.

Yu Xiaogang, carried effortlessly by Flender's soul power, frowned in confusion.

"Flender, what's the point of this? These kids already have a solid physical foundation."

Flender chuckled slyly.

"No training purpose at all? Think again, Xiaogang. Besides, if we travel faster, we'll save time, food, and lodging costs. You know, cutting expenses is a form of wisdom."

"You... you're still the same."

Flying alongside them, Yun Feng couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"Dean, you do realize I can hear you, right?"

Flender froze midair, caught off guard by Yun Feng's sudden appearance. His mischievous grin faltered as he looked at Yun Feng's disapproving gaze. After a moment of hesitation, he asked sheepishly:

"Yun Feng, you won't tell anyone, will you?"

"Not sure. Depends on my mood."

Flender's cheerful demeanor instantly deflated. He couldn't risk upsetting Yun Feng after their previous encounters. Left with no choice, he grumbled and continued leading the group.

Yu Xiaogang observed the exchange, puzzled by Flender's unusually restrained behavior. Unconcerned with financial matters, Yu Xiaogang believed in spending what was needed and trusted he could always earn more later. Without the Spirit Hall's subsidies, however, he wasn't sure how he would have survived all these years.

Unbothered by Flender's thriftiness, Yun Feng focused on his flight while the dean quietly schemed to save money. With a sly wink at Yun Feng and Yu Xiaogang, Flender suddenly accelerated like a released arrow.

Zhao Wuji, familiar with Flender's antics, sighed and grabbed Shao Xin, the auxiliary soul master, before increasing his speed.

"Flender, you could at least spare us old folks from this nonsense."

Shao Xin's limited speed left Zhao Wuji no choice but to carry him forward.

Flender's sudden burst of speed left the Shrek students struggling to keep up. Running on foot, even with their enhanced bodies, was no match for the soul-powered flight of a Soul Emperor, especially one specializing in agility.

Forced to accelerate, the group exhausted their soul power within an hour. Ning Rongrong and Oscar couldn't maintain the pace on their own, so Dai Mubai carried Oscar while Zhu Zhuqing and Xiao Wu alternated carrying Ning Rongrong. Together, they barely managed to keep up.

Flender monitored their pace and only slowed down when he noticed their soul power depleting. He allowed them a break to recover with Oscar's sausages while the teachers used Shao Xin's superior recovery candies instead.

Finally, tired of the unnecessary struggle, Yun Feng grabbed Xiao Wu, Zhu Zhuqing, and Ning Rongrong, carrying all three into the sky. With one girl in each arm and another on his back, his speed remained unaffected.

Watching Yun Feng effortlessly soar above, the other Shrek students couldn't help but feel a mix of envy and frustration. By the end of the day, they were as drained as if they had undergone another round of Yu Xiaogang's grueling training.
