"He was never properly knocked out, he's only pretending to be asleep." Still ignoring Quinn, Ray stated, earning a smirk from him.
"I was going to let him have a little fun. You are no fun at all," Quinn remarked, beginning to walk away. But he halted when Ray asked, "Do you need him?"
Quinn said nothing and simply continued walking and that was the response Ray needed.
"Wait! When did you find a mate? How? I can't believe this!" Kay, still utterly clueless, moved closer to Ray, demanding answers.
"Kill him," Ray instructed.
The supposedly unconscious spy instantly sprang to life, making a desperate run for it. But he barely took two steps before a sword pierced through his chest, causing him to cough up blood.
Kay, who had thrown the sword, lowered his arm and stepped closer to Ray. "Have you two… mated?" He asked, only to be met with a cold glare that made him quickly avert his gaze.
