Chapter 194: The Ugly One (10)

Things weren't looking good—there were only three of them here, outnumbered by the Amazons. But even worse, when that toad-faced woman hurled insults, she excluded Ahri and Haruhime, leaving only one target for her "ugly girl" slur.

Irelia's mind raced, piecing it together. Could it be that this hideous creature was actually calling her ugly?

Unbelievable.

What nerve, she thought. Who had given this toad-woman the courage to insult her, especially to her face? Anyone with eyes could see which of them was more beautiful!

"To think this toad dares to talk nonsense in front of me!" An indignant fire flared in Irelia's chest. Since arriving in this world, she had never experienced something quite this absurd.

How dare a mere Level 5 insult her so brazenly?

Even with her power somewhat concealed by the guild, she still stood as a formidable Level 5. And yet, this toad-like woman was acting as if she had the upper hand!

Irelia's vanguard blades began to vibrate with her agitation, responding to her rising anger. If it had been anyone else who insulted her, she might have let it slide. But not this revolting toad, whose slimy spit dripped incessantly from her wide mouth, like a leaky faucet.

As the toad woman lumbered closer, an overpowering stench—some strange mix of heavy perfume and foul odor—hit Irelia's nose, forcing her to take a step back.

What did I do to deserve this punishment? she thought. If possible, she'd rather not soil her precious vanguard blade on this filthy creature. No doubt this woman's blood reeked.

"Ahri, it's you she's after," Irelia attempted to pass off the problem to her friend.

"I don't know such an ugly person," Ahri retorted, her ears standing straight up in irritation. Every hair on her body bristled as Phryne continued to approach.

"She's targeting the fox-girl. Use your magic to push her back!" Irelia instructed, and without waiting, she seized her two vanguard blades and charged straight into the group of Amazons flanking Phryne.

Phryne and her Amazon companions were all targets Irelia needed to neutralize, and there was no time to lose. The slower ones could deal with whatever was left.

Ahri was momentarily stunned, not expecting Irelia to pass the task to her. But in the brief moment she hesitated, Irelia had already plunged into the crowd of Amazones, taking Haruhime with her as a bit of consolation. At least Ahri wouldn't need to keep an eye on Haruhime anymore.

Under these circumstances, it was the right decision for Irelia to whisk Haruhime away from the heat of the battle. Whatever the Ishtar family's plan, this foul toad-woman was definitely the biggest threat. Keeping Haruhime out of her reach was a sound move.

After all, Haruhime was their only weak spot. As long as Haruhime was safe, they could make a quick escape if needed.

"Okay, it's time for us to get down to business—"

Facing Phryne, Ahri couldn't open her mouth about the seductive words that she wanted to say before the battle.

She wants to end this fight real quick!

——

At the same time, Irelia, who was like a tiger entering a flock in the distance, had already started killing.

In order to vent the anger that was disgusted by Phryne earlier, she did not intend to show mercy this time.

Most of these Amazons are V1 and LV2 levels, and they are not her all-in-one enemy at all.

Originally thought that these people had some special plan, Irelia was already ready to take Haruhime and run away directly.

As a result, something was wrong when she first started fighting.

Did these people really stop them without considering the difference in combat power between the two sides?

The battle did not consume much of her energy at all. There were already more than a dozen Amazons lying beside Irelia.

Not to mention evenly matched opponents, there are not many people who can follow her move.

"If it's a battle, you guys are too weak."

Irelia didn't feel the pressure at all, dancing in the crowd like an artist focused on performance.

Every time there is a flash of knife light, an Amazon must fall on the ground of the dungeon.

However, in order to cover Haruhime, Irelia only acted in a small circle centered on her, which made this battle take a little longer.

"I overestimated you, so you are just a bunch of reckless people." Irelia gave her evaluation indifferently.

The situation on both sides reversed in an instant, and the large number of people did not play any role under the huge power gap.

"Don't be too complacent, you bastard!" Aisha, a relatively high-level adventurer, struggled to stand. She supported herself with the sword above her head, gritted her teeth, and charged again.

Her greatsword flashed as she instantly leaped behind Irelia. The muscles in her forearm bulged as she aimed directly at Irelia's head.

Irelia turned her head slightly, her eyes seeming to see through all of Aisha's movements, causing Aisha to hesitate.

However, at this point, Aisha was determined to strike.

If she didn't, her fallen companions were almost certain to die.

She blamed the goddess who had sent them to intercept the Sol family members without any prior preparation.

The goddess had assured them that as long as they eliminated everyone, there would be no risk of discovery.

Now, it was they who faced complete annihilation.

The same went for that toad, still entangled with the fox girl.

Did she understand the importance of this operation? Why didn't she hurry and eliminate her opponent when she's the one who should handle Level 5 Irelia?

Does she think of relying on these second- and third-level adventurers?

"Didn't anyone tell you that if you're planning a sneak attack, you shouldn't make so much noise?" Irelia taunted, her voice snapping Aisha out of her own moment of distraction. When Aisha returned to her senses, she found herself already clashing weapons with Irelia.

Her greatsword, heavy and powerful, was pressing down with all her might—yet it wasn't meeting any resistance beyond what should have been an insignificant block. In contrast, Irelia held nothing more than a small dagger in one hand, her expression as calm as if she were merely brushing aside a breeze.

Aisha's eyes widened in disbelief.

How could the difference in strength be so vast? How could she block an attack of this magnitude with just a dagger?

Her arms trembled slightly as she tried to push forward, but it felt as if she were striking an immovable wall.

Is this woman truly an LV5? Even Phryne, renowned for her monstrous strength, couldn't do something like this!
