Her Past And Present

Aria arrived home exhausted. The wedding reception has taken much longer than she had expected, and even though she wanted to leave, she couldn't leave Hailey alone because as soon as the wedding was concluded, Damien left the Shadow Moon pack, and no one could even question him.

Aria closed the door and turned on the light, letting out a startled shout when she saw Tristan sitting at the dining table, eating a plate of noodles.

"What are you doing here?" Aria asked, startled.

"Isn't this my house?" Tristan asked casually, not even glancing at her.

Aria frowns at his tone. Was he in a bad mood? "Why are you eating in the dark?"

Tristan took a sip of water, stood up, and walked over to her. "I told you," he said calmly, "I'm used to the dark."

"And I have also told you that there is no reason for you to get used to the dark."

Amused by her statement, Tristan asked, "Are you going to be my light?"

"Yes," Aria replied firmly.
