Chapter 225: Stupid Streamer

Despite not looking at his opponent, Jut could still sense the barrier of sword intent the human had formed to defend himself. But none of that mattered now because the only thing on his mind was survival. Without hesitation, he released the blade in his grasp and turned to flee.

However, before he could get far, he slammed into something invisible. After feeling a series of impacts, as if he had broken through a dozen glasses, he was met with a powerful force shattering his nose on impact.

He quickly wiped the blood from his face.

'Barriers?! How many layers are there? When did he have time to set these up?!'

Panic started creeping into his heart, as Jut began striking the barriers, unleashing his full strength against them. After breaking through the hundredth layer, he was horrified.

'No! No! No! I can't die to mere clones! I'll become the laughing stock of my tribe! Damn it!!'

In despair, he turned around and shouted toward One Hundred-One, who was watching with an annoying smile.

"Release me, and I'll give you a million [Soul Pearls]!" Jut shouted, his pride nowhere to be found.

One Hundred-One's smile never disappeared. He simply shook his head.

"1.5 million!!"

"2 million! I don't have any more! Please, spare me!"

Jut continued pleading, but his opponent ignored him.

Then, the space around him trembled. The dimension shattered and a blinding figure emerged from it. Jut's gaze landed on the words floating above it.

[Eight Hundred-Thirty-Two - Level 181]

The figure spoke gently. "I'm sorry, Big Brother. This is going to hurt."

One Hundred-One chuckled. "It's okay. I guess this can become a family tradition."

Jut, witnessing the exchange, felt dread pool in his gut.

"You CRAZY LUNATICS!!" he roared. "YOU'RE ONLY LEVEL 181! YOU CAN'T KILL ME!!"

But before he could finish his sentence, the world exploded. A crushing force slammed into him. He had placed his arms in front of his face, but his claws were instantly vaporized. His arms shattered. His legs, bent in front of his chest in an attempt to shield his heart, melted.

He was trapped in midair, his body in a fetal position, his back pressed against the barriers as it was bombarded. Every cell in his being screamed in agony. He clenched his teeth, resisting with every ounce of his strength, enduring the seemingly endless torture.

Then, finally, the assault stopped and what remained of his broken body fell to the ground. Lying on the ground, he couldn't breathe, and his entire body trembled. Both of his arms were gone. Both eyes were gone. But he was still alive.

'I survived… Really?'

Even with his senses dulled, he could tell—his opponent's explosion had been weaker than the previous one.

'Those idiots actually thought that was enough to kill me?'

Ignoring the pain, he immediately began absorbing mana from the surroundings. Slowly, his ruined body started lifting off the ground.

'I need to return to my kingdom and recover…'

The thought barely formed before a voice rang directly inside his mind.

"You must've gone deaf," it said. "Yep. That makes sense. My brother's attack must have shattered your eardrums so I'll use telepathy instead."

Jut's entire body froze. He knew that tone. It carried a special flavor of madness.

'No... No, no, no…'

"I started the job," Sixty continued, his voice sounding almost joyful. "So it's only right that I finish it."

Blind and unable to hear, Jut could only feel the enormous increase in energy gathering near him. He tried to fly faster and escape, but something stopped him. His nose, which had just started recovering, broke. Again.

'These damn barriers!!'

"You're not going anywhere," Sixty declared.

An instant later, a massive force slammed into Jut, sending him flying toward the barrier. And then, before he could even process what was happening, a few words appeared before him.

[You have died.]

-------------------------------

Sora watched the scene unfold through One Hundred-Sixteen's perspective. A satisfied smile played on his lips. Behind hundreds of layers of cubic barriers, his Alter Egos had flawlessly executed their plan.

Once Eight Hundred-Thirty-Two self-destructed, they wasted no time. They immediately reconstructed the barriers, trapping Jut once more. Then, Sixty jumped in to finish the work, and within seconds, he created a pocket dimension beside the weakened Werewolf and began accumulating energy inside.

One final, devastating explosion later, the annoying Werewolf, Jut, was gone.

'What a bunch of lunatics.' Sora thought, a smile on his face. For the first time in a long time, he felt truly happy.

'Shame I can't show this on stream, though.' He sighed in regret.

His mind was connected to all of his clones, meaning he had a complete understanding of the state of the battlefield and the world.

'So far, none of my alter egos have died permanently. They've cleared out all blockades around the thirty major cities. However, many groups have fallen to enemies stationed in other major cities… They found hundreds of farms owned by individuals like Norj and Abbott.'

'Farms in Lyon, Marseille, Frankfurt, Manchester, Miami… and countless others. We saved a few but lost countless humans to the enemy;'

'A hundred of our groups successfully wiped out their targets, while the rest either got countered or met reinforcements just in time.'

Satisfied with the results, he sent out a new set of orders to some idle groups within the Human Kingdom.

[Sora Hashino: Group up and head toward Toronto. You'll find others waiting for you.]

Glancing at the broader war, he analyzed the enemy's response.

'Five minutes have passed since the assault began. The enemy focused on reinforcing their own cities, neglecting their stationed troops in our territory, except for a few key locations like the farms.'

'That's why most teams who went into enemy territory encountered resistance early on and had to rely on guerilla tactics.'

Switching his attention back to the stream, he made sure to highlight exactly that. One Hundred-Ten and Six Hundred had taken center stage, navigating deep in the Dwarf Kingdom. They popped in and out of enemy cities, eliminating any players they considered potential threats. A counter sat at the top left corner of the screen, tracking their kills in real-time. With every confirmed elimination, the number increased.

Sora had also added another counter below it.

[Total Kills Across All Groups: 740,230]

After making sure that everything was running smoothly, he returned to his newest addiction: reading the chat.

@Elga (Elf, No Server): I've been waiting for you to go live for weeks now. I love the new look! Betting everything I have on your race because I believe in you!

@Gobl_92_ez (Goblin, Server 19): How frustrating was it to follow someone before the second update, only to see his live feed disappear... Glad you're not like those famous players who never streamed after the second update.

@Notatroll (Troll, No Server): What was REALLY frustrating was seeing another [Prestige] user not abusing the [Alter Ego] effect. Why not just create a billion of them and rule the world?! IT WAS ABOUT DAMN TIME YOU USED IT!!

@Erenor (Angel, No Server): @Notatroll +1. The previous holders were so weak it was painful watching them die before even reaching a single limit.

Sora had been reading the chat carefully ever since someone mentioned he was from another race and that streamers could change settings to know where people watched and commented from.

'Abbott and Norj said people had been watching my stream for a long time, but from what the viewers are saying, my stream was stopped when the second update started. That means streamers of this world can now choose when people watch their content.'

'And from the conversations I've read, those with the (No server) label have either died in their servers or won the war and left. Meanwhile, players with a (Server #) tag still have access to their active world...'

Sora moved his attention to his stream statistics.

[LIVE STREAM DASHBOARD]

'This is insane. It's even bigger than Abbott's live from a month ago. And that was right after the update, when the hype should've been at its peak.'

A grin formed on his face as he thought of the [Soul Pearls] he had amassed in just five minutes.

'Five million!! In five minutes!!'

However, he quickly shook his head and slapped his cheeks twice, thinking 'I can't get carried away. This is all secondary. It's time for the next step.'

As planned, the stream content shifted, and Sora appeared on-screen to formally announce the conclusion of the intrusion into enemy territory.

"They tried to massacre our elites, so my group decided to return the favor."

"You saw how our squads operated in enemy territory. The boys flew all over the world and eliminated almost eight hundred thousand players. None of those we killed were low level... I don't know who orchestrated this alliance against us, but I bet the other four kingdoms are relieved they didn't join it!"

As he read through the chat, his eyes landed on a familiar name. Someone had tagged him with a unique message.

@FRWriter2 (Human, Server 69): Don't tell me the live is ending?! I MISSED ALL THE FUN BECAUSE YOU BANNED ME!! Someone gift me a sub! I want to watch the replay!! @Sora Hashino Stupid streamer, why did you ban me?!

Sora tried, but failed, to suppress his laughter.

"@FRWriter2, is that really you? You actually made another account after I banned you?!"

After a brief pause, he added, "And to answer your question—no. The live isn't ending. We're moving on to the next part. Watch."

The stream stopped showing Sora's face and switched to something else.

Something on an entirely different scale.
