After we both had dinner, we went back up to Ava's room. She closed the door before she plopped onto the bed. I couldn't help but laugh a bit as I heard her groan escape from her lips.
"You have to help me pick out an outfit for tomorrow...wait...let's go out tonight. I think we should do that! We haven't been out of the house for a LONG time now. Let's go to the arcade!! We can so totally meet hot guys there." She said as she stared over at me.
"Well...I mean, you aren't wrong about the first part and second. Majority of the guys there are with their girlfriends Ava. We won't be meeting single guys at the arcade." I said as I sat down on the bed. "But I will make you an outfit for the arcade though." I say as I smiled gently at her and I looked at her closet.
Ava looked over at me as she pursed ger lips a bit. "Hmm...I don't know what I want to wear for the arcade. Maybe you can make the outfit for me!" She said happily as she pulled me to the closet. "Come on! You make really nice outfits! You need to make mine."
I sighed heavily as I looked over at her. I crossed my arms and I shake my head. "Ava, you need to make your outfit. Go and make it!" I say as I giggled happily and I looked at her again. "You can make it yourself. I know you can." I say as I smiled happily.
Ava sighed heavily before she went into the closet and got changed into different clothes. I waited for her to come out and I looked at her outfit. She wore a tight-fitting shirt. The shirt was a beige like colour. It was also cropped. She wore a long flowy skirt that have beautiful patterns on it. The patterns had different colours on it. Brown, green, blue, orange, yellow and black. I saw her wear the sandals that matched with the whole outfit before she looked up at me. "Does the shirt look good with the shirt? Or should I wear a tank top?" She asked as she looked down at the skirt. I grabbed the skirt and pulled it down a bit to show her stomach more.
"The skirt looked weird above your waist..." I said as I looked at her outfit again before grabbing her make up and I did her eye shadow. It was simple and neutral. "Better!" I say as I put her makeup down. "We are ready!" I say as I grabbed her hand and I pulled her downstairs.
Ava grabbed her car keys and went outside before we both said our goodbyes to her mother. We ran out to her car and got in. She started the car and buckled up. I buckled up as well before we drove off to the arcade. We blared music on her radio and sang loudly.
Some time went by and we finally made it to the arcade. Ava shut the music off and the car off before we got out of the car. As we got out, I looked over at her as I smiled happily. She came over to my side after we both got out. We headed inside the building. The music started to get louder with every step we took to get to the building. I opened the door and you heard the music blare into your ears. I walked inside first as Ava followed behind me.
Ava turned to me and almost yelled in my ear. "I'm getting us some tokens for the games. Wait here for me please!" I nodded my head as I looked around the place, seeing the games that were out on display for everyone to play, picking which one I really wanted to play. I sighed softly as I waited for Ava to come back with the tokens.
As I looked around, I saw a person. The person was tall. His hair was like a blonde but gray blonde colour. He wore baggy like clothes that looked amazing on him. His pants were cargos, and his shirt was a short sleeve with an oversized zip up jacket that made his outfit look better. That was the style that I love so much. I couldn't help but admire him and his style. I saw him look around and then at me before I quickly looked away from him.
I waited for my friend to come back and rescue me from me trying not to embarrass myself in front of this person. I stayed where I am standing at, looking around the place before I felt someone tap my shoulder and I turned around and saw the person standing behind me.
He had a soft smile on his face. You could see his dimples. They were kind of noticeable but they were still there. "Hey." Was the first thing he said to me when I turned around. His voice was soft but he had to speak loudly over the sounds of kids yelling and screaming and the arcade games playing in the background.
I couldn't help but blush a bit from him coming up to me. "Huh-hi." I stuttered to him. I mentally face palmed myself as I thought I sounded like an idiot. I couldn't even look at him as I was a nervous wreck basically now.
He looked at me up and down as I stole a glance at him. "You live around here or did you just move here?" He asked as he leaned against one of the games.
"I uh...I live around here. I was born and raised here..." I say as I finally looked up at him. "Did you just move here?" I asked as I was very curious.
He nodded his head as he listened to me. "Yes, I am new here. I just moved here I think...uh...last week? I think? I don't remember entirely." He said as he chuckled a bit. I couldn't help but chuckle from his comment. His voice was soft.
"Well, since you just moved here not that long ago, welcome to Binx." I say as I gave him a soft smile. "You never told me your name by the way. My name is Adnois."
He gave me a soft smile in return and then spoke again. "Nice to meet you Adnois. My name is Xavier. Nice to meet you and thank you." He said as he looked down at me.
I heard someone coming up behind me. I knew it was Ava. I heard her voice before she almost tripped standing next to me. "I was calling for you Adnois!" She exclaimed as she pouted a bit. Ava looked up at me and Xavier. "Who is this Adnois?"
"Ava, this is Xavier. He just moved here recently." I said as I introduced her to him. He gently waved at her as Ava smiled a bit at him.
"Nice to meet you, Xavier." She said as she hummed a bit at the end. "Nice to meet you too Ava." Xavier said as he looked over at me and then back at her.
She kept on looking over at him and then at me. "Well...uh...I think this is our que to leave..." I say as I looked at the two. "We will see you later Xavier. Nice to meet you!" I say to him before Ava dragged me away before I could hear what he had to say. We got to a spot that was away from him and it was at one of the games we wanted to play as well.
"Dude...he is totally goanna ask you out on a date." She told me as she kept on glancing over at him repeatedly. I huffed as I heard her say that to me as I also rolled my eyes as well.
"No, I highly doubt that. It was a small conversation if anything and also, I don't think he goes to our school at all Ava." I say as I glanced over at him and then back at her. She signed heavily as she listened to me say that. "Girl, Shut up. He will ask you out." She kept on looking over at him and then at me.
I scoffed a bit as I rolled my eyes from her saying that to me. "Ava, you don't know that." I say as I crossed my arms and looked at her. "I just met him. I don't think he will ask me out the second day or tonight. I don't think he goes to our school or he's a college Student at Wahington State University." I said as I looked at her with a soft smile.
"You don't know that." Ava told me as I crossed my arms and looked at her.
"I just met him. I don't think he will ask me out the second day or tonight. I don't think he goes to our school or he's a college Student at Wahington State University." I said as I looked at her with a soft smile on my face before I chuckled a bit as she made a dunny pouty face.
"Hey! Stop laughing at me! I know I am pouting and everything, but I might be right though!" She whined as she stomped a bit. "Come on. Let's go play the games we wanted to play!" She exclaimed as she grabbed my hand and sat us both down on the chair for the racing games and handed me my coins. I grabbed the cup and we both started to play the game together. We are a very competitive when we go against each other.
We both put our coins inside the machine and we did everything before the actual game began. Everyone could hear the both of us just yelling at each other, telling each other that we would go down and all of those things. Some time went by and she eventually beat me at the game. I groaned before I looked at her. "Fine...you win...what do you want for food?" I asked as I got out of the game car seat. The place was starting to get busy and filled with college kids now as it was starting to get late.
She pursed her lips and looked around a bit before she finally spoke. "I really, really want some clam chowder...I have been craving it for so long Adnois!" She exclaimed as she held my hand.
I couldn't help but chuckle a bit from her response. "Alright, alright. Let's go and get your clam chowder then." I say as I looked at her. "Do you want to go to your favourite restaurant for it?" I asked as I grabbed my phone.
"Yeah, we can go to my favourite restaurant for it!" She said excitedly as she looked up at me. "Come on! We have to go now!" She said as she grabbed my hand and dragged me out of the place.
"Alright Ava!" I said as I smiled happily. I looked around the place as we left. I couldn't find Xavier anywhere. I was going to ask for his number or something at least so I could continue to talk to him but, he sadly wasn't there. I followed Ava to the car and we both got in. She looked over at me and she knew something was up. We could literally read each other.
"Girl, what's wrong?" She asked as she turned her car on.
I sighed heavily. "I was goanna give Xavier my number or something before we left but, he wasn't there." I say as I pouted. I fidgeted with my fingers before she spoke again.
"Adnois. You will see him again. I know it. Binx is a small town you know!" She said the end part in a singsong way. "He will come back around. Don't you worry Adnois. I also never seen you like this before. This is weird..." Ava said as she leaned a bit away from me.
I couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "Well, he seems different from the other guys that are around here actually. He seems like a nice, caring guy and everything." I say as I looked up at her.
"Well, you know what I might say," she said and when she was saying it, I was saying it. "You don't know the guy entirely. He might act like that in front of others but he might be a bad person when you get to know him." We both sighed as we finished the sentence. She spoke up again. "See? You even remembered what I was going to say!" She said as she chuckled a bit.
I nodded my head as I looked away from her and then back at her. "You always say that to me and to other people as well." I say as I chuckled a bit. "But, come on. Let's go and get your clam chowder alright?" I say as I smiled gently at her. She started her car and she drove us to her favourite restaurant.
When we got there, Ava excitedly clapped her hands and then shut the car off. We both got out of the car and went straight inside. We got a seat and we both looked around until I looked over and I saw someone. Someone from the arcade. I literally had to rub my eyes and then look again to make sure I wasn't seeing things. "Hey Ava...I think the guy from the arcade is here..." I say as I glanced at Ava but kept on looking at Xavier.
"What guy? The guy that I was telling you that he might ask you out or something like that?" She said before she looked over at my direction and her eyes widened in shock. "Holy shit! It is him!" Ava whispered yelled and then covered her mouth.
I looked over at her as she said that. "No fucking shit Ava!" I whispered yelled as well before I heard footsteps and then I saw him standing in front of me. I chuckled nervously. "Hi..." I said awkwardly.
"Hey. I didn't know that you were coming here." He said as he gave me a soft smile.
"Yeah...Huh...I lost against a game with Ava and I told her that I would buy her food if she won...and she won!" I say as I chuckled nervously again.
He nodded his head as he listened to me. "Well, in my opinion, buying food is a great way of a loser paying back the winner...or something like that." Xavier said as he chuckled a bit. I couldn't help but chuckle from his comment.
"Well, she and I can agree to that statement actually." I say as I looked up at him. His eyes twinkled a bit, like how a star twinkles in the night sky. I quickly shook my head before looking away. "Uh...weird question but...would you like to go to the museum that is opening up this weekend with me and my friend?" I asked as I fidgeted with my fingers.
I saw him ponder on the question, like he was trying to figure out what he might have to do that day. "Well, I think I am free that day so yes. I will go to the museum with you guys!" He said as he gave me that soft but happy smile. I couldn't help but smile happily from his comment. "Great! Shall we pick you up or meet up with us at the museum?"
He looked around the restaurant before looking at me. "I will meet up with you guys but I have to go now. I will see you guys on Saturday!" He said before he waved bye and left with his friends.
Ava stared at me. "SEE! WHAT DID I TELL YOU ADNOIS!" I chuckled softly from her yelling. "Actually, I asked him to go with us and he said he is goanna meet up with us at the museum!" I say as I smiled a bit at her.
