Selene Valor, a pureblood vampire,  entered a marriage of convenience with her husband Gabriel Valor to protect herself from relatives eyeing what was left of her family's wealth. "Today must be my lucky day. Nathaniel has been pulling on all kinds of strings to get you to talk with him and here you are coming to me willingly. Your father will be so jealous if he hears about this. Tell me what is so urgent," Camilla said, taking a seat.

"I want to speak about what made you lose your fangs-"

"No!" Camilla shook her head. "I don't want to speak about it. How many times must I listen to all of you speak about how foolish my actions were? I have heard it far too many times. I don't have any more patience to hear about it."

"I can't recall a time I scolded you or made a mockery of it. I believe you when you say that something came over you. There are others like you starting to show up. Vampires who have attacked humans and now need to be confined to their homes. There is a woman I would like to help," said Xavier.
