"Why do you think I would know about his father liking Selene's mother? How long do you think I have been in the palace? I am not that much older than you," said Isaac.

"Really?" Xavier replied, surprised.

Isaac closed his eyes, counting to ten so he wouldn't snap. "Why must you keep doing this to me?"

"Because you make it too easy for me to tease you. You must have heard something about it at one point. Are you certain there was enough proof her family wanted to kill the king or did the evidence sound put together by the court?" Xavier asked again.

"I know as much as the town knows. The court has wrapped up that case and put away everything concerning it. I was never the one who had to question them or deal with their punishment. It would take something new coming up to open that case and see what they found then," Isaac replied.
