"It is done." Darius kissed Vivienne's hand. "Your father is out of the palace now. Just like I said I would do."
Vivienne smiled. "Thank you. I am sorry for putting you in this position. Now, my father will not only be angry with me but with you as well. Still, I think it was the right decision. He was getting in my ear, creating a rift in our marriage."
Darius still didn't know what had occurred between Vivienne and Victor, but he was happy to see Vivienne come to her senses. They hadn't argued since he promised to get rid of Victor, and she had stuck by his side.
"I will deal with your father if he tries to create trouble. I will protect you since you are my wife. Will you tell me now what he said to ruin our marriage? Did he speak of not voting for me?" Darius asked, curious if Victor was turning on him.
