Sylas knew Rocco well enough to believe that even if he considered betrayal, he wouldn't be able to deceive them so effectively.
Sylas would notice it right away.
"...Rocco. Rocco, what is the true identity of your dog?"
Sylas asked again, seeing that Rocco still hadn't responded, his eyes vacant.
The hypnosis didn't seem to be working well.
After lightly stroking Rocco's cheek to encourage him, Rocco finally answered.
"──...Laxus. My... important, family."
Sylas looked down at Rocco, who had answered with a hazy, unfocused expression, and sighed at the response.
Was that thing truly a family to Rocco?
It seemed that Rocco didn't know the truth about it.
Or perhaps... he did know, but had been brainwashed by that man into believing it was part of his family.
"Is Laxus... human?"
Sylas placed his hand on the back of Rocco's head and pulled him closer.
