At this moment, only Laurent and Maggie were in the office. Norman was away on a business trip, and Samantha was busy in the workshop handling a large shipment.
After calming herself down, Laurent spoke coldly to Maggie,
"It was you, wasn't it?"
Seeing that Laurent directly suspected her, Maggie admitted it readily. She crossed her arms and leaned back in her chair.
"I didn't want to do this either, but who told you to always be better than me at everything? As newcomers who joined the factory at the same time, have you ever considered how I feel?"
Laurent was so angry that she let out a laugh.
"You refuse to make progress, and you expect me to do the same?"
Maggie scoffed.
"Do you have to be so harsh? Who says I refuse to improve? It's you who's too ambitious!"
Laurent was furious. Since when was working hard and striving for success a fault?
