Chapter 261- the result

Tiffany leaned slightly against the headboard, lifted her hand to brush the hair from her forehead, and said, 

"It doesn't matter anymore. Let him do whatever he wants." 

She then looked at her son and added, 

"As long as you're both fine, I don't care what happens here. Whatever he says or does can't hurt me, because I never took him seriously to begin with." 

No matter how much Bert is stirring things up now, could it hurt more than the despair she felt when she first found out about their existence as a mother and son? 

Dave glanced at his mother, and finally spoke up, 

"Actually, the one who's most pleased and happy about how things are between you and Dad right now is Bert." 

As the saying goes, "The loved ones suffer, the enemies rejoice." 

Tiffany pursed her lips and fell silent. 

Did she not know? She knew very well that her conflict with Daniel, leading to their divorce, had ultimately pleased that mother-son pair.
