Chapter 74: The Blazing Demon

The battlefield continued to tremble under the fierce clashes between humans and demons.

But at the heart of this chaos, one titanic duel captured the attention of all who dared to watch.

Marcus and Ilyud exchanged blows with an intensity that defied ordinary comprehension.

The knight's blazing flames clashed against the brute strength and supernatural techniques of the six-armed demon.

Despite the gravity of the situation, a serene smile stretched across Ilyud's face.

"This human… Marcus truly deserves the title of the Blazing Demon.

He doesn't give me a single moment of respite."

As the two adversaries fought relentlessly, Ilyud suddenly roared:

 "Verod Zuor!"

In his six massive arms, a dense, dark energy rapidly formed—malevolent orbs of unimaginable destructive power.

He hurled them fiercely at Marcus, who leaped backward multiple times.

His flaming sword deflected the attacks as best as he could, but their relentless intensity did not wane.

Seizing a moment of vulnerability, Ilyud concentrated his demonic aura into a new technique—Vegor Sion—boosting his speed to an astonishing level.

Before Marcus could react, Ilyud struck him violently in the abdomen.

 "BWOOOM!!"

The impact sent Marcus crashing through three elven buildings, reducing the ancient structures to rubble.

Trapped beneath the debris, he coughed up blood as he slowly pulled himself free.

He quickly scanned his surroundings, his breath ragged.

"That bastard… his power is terrifying ,if I take seven more hits like that i won't survive."

A sudden noise above him caught his attention.

He jumped just in time to evade a massive projectile that smashed into the spot where he had stood.

Smoke and rubble erupted revealing Ilyud's towering figure, his six arms poised to strike again.

"I knew you weren't dead, Marcus."

Marcus remained silent, his gaze locked onto his adversary with unwavering intensity.

"Blazing Blade!"

Dashing forward at blinding speed he targeted Ilyud, who anticipating the attack, countered:

 "Demonic Severing Orb!"

Four of Ilyud's arms generated sharp, black energy discs launching them with deadly precision.

Marcus barely dodged each one, leaving them to carve through the buildings behind him.

The sounds of collapsing structures echoed across the battlefield as Marcus, without slowing unleashed Infernal Flame.

The raging fire engulfed three of Ilyud's arms, eliciting a deafening howl of pain.

— "AAGGGHHH!!"

Ilyud jumped back, sweat dripping from his brow. He examined his wounds and realized that his regeneration had stopped.

Marcus, too, showed signs of exhaustion despite his injuries he remained standing, his flaming sword ready to strike.

"It seems your regeneration is failing demon," he said in a neutral tone.

Ilyud, though weakened and missing multiple limbs, let out a proud smile.

"Hahaha! Don't get too confident, Marcus between the two of us, you look like the one who will collapse first."

Marcus narrowed his eyes, wiping the blood running down his face.

"I have to finish this quickly," he thought. "If this fight drags on, I'll lose."

Ilyud, taking a step back, gathered his energy for one final attack.

"Marcus, I'm glad to have faced you but it's time to end this."

With his remaining three arms, he formed a dense, pulsating black-and-gray sphere.

The malevolent energy it emitted seemed to pull the air around it into a void.

With a precise motion, he hurled it toward Marcus.

Seeing the incoming attack, Marcus activated his ultimate spell: Fire Jet.

A crimson burst of flames erupted from his sword, consuming everything in its path.

The two attacks collided in a titanic explosion, shaking the ground and leaving behind a cloud of debris and smoke.

Ilyud scanned the smoke, searching for any sign of his opponent.

Suddenly, a silhouette emerged from the air—Marcus, encased in Fire Armor, a radiant, flame-cloaked shield that enveloped his entire body.

 "Subjugation!"

With a mighty swing he unleashed, a massive wave of scorching flames that engulfed the battlefield.

The intense heat incinerated everything in its path, reducing the surroundings to nothing but ash.

The wa the end of Ilyud.

As the smoke cleared, Ilyud's mutilated body lay in the ruins.

Only the upper half of his torso and a single arm remained.

Despite his condition, he weakly lifted his head and gave Marcus one last glance.

"Hmm… It seems this is the end for me."

Marcus, covered in wounds and visibly drained, slowly approached the fallen demon. His face, marked by battle, softened as he gently closed Ilyud's unblinking eyes.

"Farewell, Ilyud you were truly a worthy opponent."

With his last breath, Ilyud managed a faint smile.

 "Farewell, Blazing Demon."

Marcus straightened, his gaze dark yet filled with respect as he turned back toward the battlefield, he murmured softly:

"Rest in peace, warrior."

Thus ended the fierce battle between Marcus, the blazing knight and Ilyud the six-armed demon two warriors who had fought with all the power of their conviction.
