Orcus Town was once an extremely popular hotspot for business. It was a place where a lot of companies fiercely competed against each other to get prime spots in the marketplace.
Securing and maintaining a central spot in the market without losing customers was considered a major achievement—a sign of a company's success and resilience.
However, its proximity to the mountain ranges that divided the Kings and Queens region also made it vulnerable to a lot of natural disasters, such as landslides and earthquakes.
Of course, rebuilding and renovating any of the broken establishments would require a significant time and money, something which not a lot of people thought was worth it.
Eventually, more and more residents began to leave the town, and the cracks in the damaged roads and buildings were left unrepaired after each new calamity. This neglect only hastened the town's degradation, forcing more and more people to migrate out of the town.
