Pewter City, A large beautiful town with different kinds of people.
The town had a Gym and the only museum in whole Kanto, so tourism was almost always at peak.
It was substantially larger then Viridian City, having more house and overall larger area.
Max was brought here after all the commotion, the police station of Pewter town.
Well at least I got to Pewter City, Sigh, one way or other...
He thought as he sat at the interrogation room, Officer Jenny in front of him asking him with all kinds of question.
Like what was he doing, how it all got to that point, his identity and e.t.c.
The situation had gotten slightly out of hand, as every words Max said in his defense was looked away, and on top of that, Max was also charged for the "Trauma" that Ritchie had to go thorough as his family keeps pressuring police to punish Max.
Even Max's Mother, Red's Mother, Prof. Oak, Daisy, Blue had to intervene to protect the Situation from worsening even further.
"Max is a sweet child! He could never even dare to hurt someone innocent!" Was basically what his Mother claimed, refusing to believe otherwise.
Of course the help of Prof. Oak and Blue helped the situation to bring under control a lot, as those high public figure backing up that claim made even the police reconsider.
Finally after a while, a police appeared. "Y...You are, Er... Called out, follow me,"
The police who called him looked kinda drained, Officer Jenny who was interrogating him was surprised by all what happened, but she didn't intervined and let it happen.
Max curious, followed the officer.
First thing as he camed out, he was greeted by some familiar and expected faces. His Mother, Prof. Oak, Daisy, Blue and.... Green?
Even Green had to intervene?
For those wondering, Green is the third Protagonist of the Kanto along with Red and Blue. Who, upon the sight of him, jumps at him in a tight hug.
She not only holds a respectable position in the Pokemon league, but is consider a legendary trainer, said to be able to take down the Elite four singlehandedly and might even Champion if she wanted.
And Blue is just slightly stronger then her while Red was stronger then both.
And for some weird reason, Green is the Best friend of Max of this timeline.
So how the story unfolds is like this.
Green was an orphan from Viridian City, who was certainly well treated and looked over by the people of that city.
She became a trainer, her dream was to become the champion and use her power for the prosperity of Viridian Town.
Although she couldn't achieve her dream since Blue and Red was too overwhelming, but what she achieved was also more then enough, matter of fact even better as she didn't have the responsibility of whole region and she could spend all her time for the people of Viridian City.
And where does Max comes? He was the very person that she met the first when she came to the Pallet Town. He introduced her to Prof. Oak since and her meeting with her partner Bulbsaur was thanks to him too.
She felt indebted to him, while trying to repay some favor here and there, they kinda formed a strong bond with him.
Police station was in chaos from the moment she entered, she intimidated the police station with her sheer presence.
Don't underestimate her intelligence though, despite being similar in age to Max, she was really mature. She twisted the rules and allegations on Max, finding loopholes and throwing it back to Officers in a way they were left flabbergasted.
Her debating and bargaining skill was unmatched.
As he was still a child, it was apparent that charges will be lowered drastically. But the police were even reconsidering that. Just by calling him in the police station, 3 most important figures of whole Kanto came to his rescue, just who was this kid.
After a while of contemplating, Max was finally discharged. The whole Kanto-Viridian-Max-Rescue-Alliance cheered in victory.
Even Max himself was left out of air, impressed by this timeline version of Max even more.
But some punishment (if it could be called that) was still implemented on him.
For instance, he will be facing many restrictions of Pokemon League's facilities.
He will have to tackle extra problems for gym challenges.
He will also have restrictions in Pokemon Centre facilities.
His salary will be cut.
And lastly, The gym leaders will use stronger and better Pokemon against him, and also, he will face the handicap of only allowed to use the same amount of Pokemon as the leader.
That was basically all his punishment to make his journey even harder.
With a nod, All of Max's belonging was given back to him, and his Pokemons were returned back respectfully too.
With also a warning that if it is repeated again in the future, the consequences will be grave.
As he stepped out of the police station, his mother pulls him in a tight hug, face full of tears as she tighten the grip even more on him.
Max tightens but relaxes soon and hugs her back, eyes closed, prepared for all the scolding his mother was gonna throw at him, he kinda deserved it.
She slowly pulls away, lifts his face up and gently kisses his forehead. "I... I am so glad you are fine...", she said with her broken voice, as her fingers reached her face to wipe away the tears.
Max bit his lips, stopping it from trembling even further as his own tears rolls down his face.
" W... Where is father? I.. Is he aware of this?"
Max's mother nods slightly. "Yes, H. .. He was in Paldea for his research, as soon as he knew about this, he threw it all away and took the flight, he should be here soon." Was what she told.
Max's eyes widened even further, Paldea? That was the region most recently announced... How the hell did he got here...
Then again, who is he even kidding, reseiin Pokemon are ridiculous, they could reach anywhere.
But the mention of Paldea, suddenly brings a memory kept deep inside him.
Suddenly the flashes of his old life reflects on his eyes. That night he everything happened. He remembered booting up Scarlet and Violet in his Nintendo Switch, and suddenly his gameboy was glowing, he left his Switch and slowly approached his Gameboy then... The memories are all fuzzy after it.
Was he really losing his identity? What happened to afterwards, why can't he remember everything properly.
As he ponders, nothing from his old life comes in mind, all seems too distant and blurry, was he losing a part of his self?
"We should go..." Said Prof. Oak to his mother.
"But..."
She was reluctant to go, Worried about her son as the word about his actions have already spread and people have already started to hate him.
Max looks at her and musters a reassuring smile, telling her he would be ok and she could go without any worries.
Still reluctant, but finally accepting, she node and leaves together with Oak.
Max stood there, waving at her as she sat on her car and began to drove away.
A hands on his shoulder, makes him jump and shiver with surprise. "W.. What!"
It was Blue, with a small chuckle, he speaks. "So? Are you gonna continue the gym challenge?"
"Of course!" Max intervened, his motive didn't changed the slightest after everything.
Blue smiled and slowly hands him something.
"Here, take this!" He said, as he took out his Pidgeot and left.
Max looked at him as he left, he looked down on his hands and saw what was in it... A piece of Charcoal.
It looked like a normal one at first glance, but it held kinda bitter memory, memories of everything, it was from the tree that was burned in the battle he had with hundreds of Beedrills.
Letting Kaen hold it should boost her power even more.
"Talk about being stupid..." A voice came from behind, he turned around and the owner of the voice was Green.
She just came out of the Police station, murmuring to herself. "Think they can do anything they please in my presence..."
She held a Pikachu in her arms, it's sad face immediately replaced with longing as it jumps from her arms and jumps on Max's.
"Y.. You sre still here?" Max said as he held the Pikachu in his arms.
Pi...
Pikachu looked at Max, it appeared at the verge to cry.
Green approach him and slowly raises her hands and immediately begins pulling on his ears.
"Ouch! W.. what's this for?"
"For making me worried!" She said.
Seeing him wince in pain, she slowly leaves his ears but rather pulls him in a hug.
"A.. and what is this for?"
"Just shut up!" She said as she buried her face on his shoulder, she was shorter then him, almost perfect height to bury her face on his shoulder.
She stayed in that position for a long time, refusing to let go, until the phone inside her purse rang.
With a sigh of annoyance she picked up the phone.
Her expression changed a lot within that call span, annoyed, shocked, anger and back to annoyance.
She finally puts down her phone, her face still had the trace of annoyance as she turned to Max.
With a release of sigh she reaches to her purse and takes out a pokeball, "I would have to leave now, work calls," She whisperd, her voice low but audible.
Out the Pokeball, A Dragonite comes out.
She climbs on it's back and waves at Max. "Until we meet again!" Said she as the Dragonite flew away.
Max stayed there, in shock.
A... A Freaking Dragonite!!
His eyes wide and Jaw drop open, a Pikachu could be fit inside.
Pi...
Max turned down at the Pikachu in his hand. It looked at him with it's large doe like eyes.
Max kept staring at Pikachu for a while and spoke. "So... Wanna join me?"
The Pikachu with a big happy expression immediately nods it's head.
Max reaching out to his bag in the pokeball sector, takes out a pokeball and extended it towards the Pikachu.
"Here..."
Pikachu immediately, without a second of hesitation, pressed the button.
The ball opens and immediately sucks the Pikachu inside, and without even wobbling, the light turns green immediately.
[Pikachu have been registered to your pokedex.]
The notification arrives from the pokedex.
He took a long breath, the day was really bizarre and it was finally over now, all he wanted was now to get back ti Pokemon centre and rest.
And also, win himself his first badge which lied in this city.
