"Bellossom, to the left!"
A sharp command rang out, and Bellossom reacted instantly.
Although Arcanine had activated Extreme Speed, even incorporating the power of Flame Charge, it still couldn't match Bellossom's full-speed Shave.
A glint of a blade flashed. Arcanine froze in place, as if time had stopped, and a dark purple lotus mark slowly appeared on its chest.
"Bellossom, One-Sword Style: Finger Pistol – Verdant Shroud!"
Before Arcanine could even let out a cry of pain, Ron's next command came.
Fusing the power of Magical Leaf and Energy Ball into its Leaf Blade, Bellossom sliced through the air. A flurry of green leaves danced in the wind as its figure seemingly vanished, reappearing right in front of Arcanine.
Even after Bellossom's attack concluded, faint traces of glowing green energy lingered on Arcanine's body.
"This is the final strike, Bellossom! One-Sword Style: Finger Pistol – Rebirth of All Things!"
With Petal Blizzard, Magical Leaf, and Sleep Powder infused into its sword technique, Bellossom's attack not only overwhelmed Arcanine but also induced drowsiness. Before it could even realize what was happening, Bellossom's blade had already landed.
By the time Arcanine regained consciousness, it was already too late. The battle was over, and it had lost—without suffering prolonged pain.
"Come back, Bellossom. Now, it's your turn—Persian!"
The same fluid motion of switching Pokémon sent a surge of frustration through Gier. His anger threatened to spiral out of control, yet he had no choice but to send out Poliwrath, which he had prepared beforehand.
For a Normal-type Pokémon like Persian, its only major weakness was Fighting-types.
Additionally, Poliwrath could flood the battlefield with Water-type moves, restricting Persian's movements—one of the main reasons Gier had chosen it for his team.
"Poliwrath, use Surf!"
As the battle commenced, Gier hurriedly gave his order, hoping to limit Persian's mobility.
"Persian, use Shave to dodge then Finger Pistol – Blink Slash!"
Ron's command came almost simultaneously.
Persian exploded forward at blinding speed, moving so fast that the distance between them vanished in an instant.
Just as the water from Surf began to rise, a deep wound appeared on Poliwrath's chest, and crimson blood splattered across the battlefield.
"Persian, Finger Pistol – Instant Slash!"
Without hesitation, Persian spun around and launched another attack.
In an instant, Poliwrath's body was covered in wounds. Before it could even become fully drenched in its own blood, Ron issued one final command—Finger Pistol: Shadow Claw Execution!
A triple-strike combination later, Poliwrath collapsed into a pool of its own blood, unable to continue the fight.
Just like Golduck before it, Poliwrath had been completely overwhelmed, unable to land even a single attack.
The level advantage of three seemed utterly meaningless as Gier stood there, stunned.
This time, Ron didn't recall Persian. Instead, he simply observed Gier in silence while Persian nonchalantly licked the blood from its claws, using the moment to recover its stamina.
Persian had rapidly executed multiple "Flash Steps" (the Blink and Instant techniques has the character for shunpo which is a very well known movement technique) and unleashed its strongest three-combo attack in quick succession.
Though not exhausted, it needed a brief moment to regain its peak power.
Ron's reason for keeping Persian on the battlefield was simple—to eliminate Gier's planned counter to Gyarados before it could be used.
If left unchecked, Gyarados would struggle against a prepared countermeasure.
Gier understood Ron's strategy and had no choice but to send out Electabuzz.
At Level 53, Electabuzz was meant to be a trump card—his insurance in case Gyarados survived. Now, however, it was being sacrificed to exhaust Persian's stamina.
As soon as Electabuzz appeared, Persian greeted it with a barrage of Finger Pistol strikes.
Even though Gier frantically commanded Electabuzz to use Discharge as a defensive measure, it was futile—Persian's assault was unstoppable.
After defeating Electabuzz, Ron finally withdrew Persian and sent out Machamp, waiting for Gier's final Pokémon.
As expected, a bright light flashed, revealing none other than Alakazam.
Gier's eyes gleamed with madness. This Alakazam was his last hope for a comeback.
Not because of its level or experience, but because it possessed an incredibly rare psychic talent—one that temporarily granted it near-Elite Four-level strength for one minute.
Even the League's official rules couldn't prohibit such a phenomenon.
If he timed everything correctly, Gier believed he still had a chance to turn the tables and claim a stunning six-on-one victory.
His ace, originally reserved as a failsafe against Machamp, was now fueling his growing obsession with victory.
Ron didn't know exactly what Gier was planning, but thanks to Gardevoir's telepathy, he sensed the shift in his opponent's emotions. He became cautious, opting to test the waters first.
"Machamp, Finger Pistol – Morning Peacock!"
"Alakazam, unleash your full power—Psychic Suppression!"
The moment Gier gave his command, Alakazam's eyes glowed blue, and a powerful aura radiated from its body. The sheer force of its psychic energy exuded the presence of an Elite Four-level Pokémon.
With a combination of Psychic, Future Sight, and Psycho Cut, Alakazam shattered Machamp's Morning Peacock technique.
"Machamp, Finger Pistol – Quadruple Daytime Tiger!"
Sensing the abnormality in Alakazam, Ron remained composed and immediately issued another command.
No matter how Gier had temporarily boosted Alakazam's strength, Ron knew it wouldn't last long—one to two minutes at most.
If such an ability could last indefinitely, the Pokémon League wouldn't allow it, and rival trainers within the League's ranks would surely use it as ammunition against Gier.
Four ferocious white tigers lunged forward, colliding head-on with Alakazam's psychic onslaught. Ten seconds had already passed.
"Alakazam, keep using Psychic Suppression! Crush him!"
Floating mid-air with its psychic energy, Alakazam unleashed another devastating wave.
The oppressive force bore down like a meteor, but Ron skillfully countered, ordering Machamp to use another Morning Peacock and Quadruple Daytime Tiger to hold it off.
Twenty seconds had passed.
The third wave of Psychic Suppression struck, and a green glow erupted from Machamp's body. It blocked the attack at the cost of taking minor damage.
Thirty seconds had passed.
The fourth wave came, and Machamp used Protect to neutralize it.
Then came the fifth. The relentless strain was taking its toll on Alakazam, and it began to feel a splitting headache.
Ron seized the opportunity.
First, he ordered Machamp to break through with Quadruple Daytime Tiger.
Then, with perfect timing, he unleashed the ultimate move—Finger Pistol: Evening Elephant!
The moment the four tigers dispersed, a massive crimson elephant's foot crashed down, shattering Alakazam's psychic barrier and slamming it into the ground.
One minute.
That was all the time Alakazam had. Against Machamp's sheer endurance, it simply couldn't last.
Even when rapidly chaining together its strongest attacks, Alakazam had overexerted itself, draining its psychic energy reserves.
The mental and physical strain overwhelmed it, pushing it to the brink of unconsciousness.
Desperately, Alakazam tried to use Psychic to move away.
But what awaited it—were two close-range Dynamic Punches from Machamp.
A thunderous impact shook the battlefield.
Though Alakazam had briefly touched the strength of an Elite Four Pokémon, its defenses had never reached the same level.
A massive crater formed where it landed.
Inside, Alakazam lay motionless, utterly defeated.
