"Why not?" His voice was cold.

"I already like someone else. Please stop pursuing me."

His face was stern, without a hint of a smile.

Conrad raised his hands to cup my face, lowering his head until he was less than an inch away from me.

I couldn't break free from him. I could only turn my head slightly and close my eyes, my body involuntarily shaking.

The man laughed, his voice cool and mocking.

"Melody, you're lying."

Private hospital, located in the outskirts of town. As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but lush, endless greenery.

No way out, no way to contact anyone else.I tried to get help from doctors and nurses, but none of them would assist me.

Conrad comes by every day at varying times, usually in the late afternoon as dusk approaches, to chat with me briefly.

I strongly resist his intimate gestures, and he doesn't force the issue.

These past few days, I keep dreaming about things from the past.
