The hallway was empty; only two figures could be seen: a tall masculine figure and a petty girl. The soft light from the candle lighted the halls spreading its soft golden lights.
The night had gotten deep already and only a few still roamed the temple at this hour. "You didn't have to fight him. What if he had killed you?" Abrielle stated the facts, unable to understand his foolishness. She knew he wasn't telling her everything.
"I am glad you care if I live or not. It gives me a sense of comfort, " he chimed with a teasing smile.
Abrielle rolled her eyes at him, "Cedric killing you would ruin my already bad reputation. Don't get ahead of yourself." She sneered at him, crossing her arms under her bosom. She could not believe that she actually felt sorry for him earlier.
