Today, on my 16th birthday, I finally realized what I need to feel. This year isn't just about my birthday; it's about the time to make the biggest decisions of my life: to enter Ferisz Academy and fulfill my dreams. It's time to take control of my life and find a place in this home where I've never felt I truly belong. I dream of living freely and peacefully, without being dependent on anyone.
However, today, as I sat around the table with my family, I felt very strange. They all accept me as I am, but I feel like an outsider in this family. Even the servants look at me with cold eyes, and although my father says he loves me, his attitude towards me is not the same as his attitude toward everyone else. He tries to show me "care" in his own way, but I don't understand him.
I know my father loves me, but I also know that he wants to think only of himself, wanting to keep me close and protect me. He doesn't even want to understand the dreams that matter to me, and yet I've never truly found my place in this family. Only I can find my true self.
On this birthday, I made a decision: for the first time, I am ready to fight for my dreams. I need to ask for permission to go to Ferisz Academy and leave this home behind. Right now, I feel like I'm trapped here. I feel like I'm in prison. No one here understands me, but I don't have to stay here. My future is mine to create, no one else's.
Looking at my family, I realize that they never truly understood me, only living according to their own beliefs. Today, I make my decision for change. So now, I ask: "Can I go to Ferisz Academy?" This is my first step, and only I can take it.
Ferisz Academy is vast, and it's where the most prestigious nobles and rich people study. The academy is divided into two main sections: mages and swordfighters. My older brother also studies there; he's a skilled swordsman. There's one more thing: I'm from the Ryular clan. Being part of this clan is important because of my father, who is also from Ryular, as well as my stepmother. However, I don't know which clan my real mother is from. I have very little information about her.
The strength of the Ryular clan lies in their ability to control dragons, and they are also skilled swordsmen. Every clan member has their own dragon. My brother is protected by a fire dragon because his mother also controls one. Ezran's dragon is lightning-based, while Ada's dragon is a poisonous one. However, the dragon of my father remains a mystery to all of us, and I don't know what it is either.
I asked my father about the academy one day, and my step-sister Ada opposed it. "What, you, Dad? I can't go to the academy with her! She's not as pretty as me, and if everyone knows she's my sister, they'll all laugh at me. After all, she's a half-blood."
I expected this response, but hearing those words still hurt my heart. I was losing hope about going to the academy. But then, my father suddenly shouted at Ada: "Ada, pull yourself together! She and you are both my children. How can you say something like that about your sister?" Ada then said, "She'll never be my sister!" and walked away angrily.
Dad turned toward me and asked, "Do you really want to go to the academy?" Without hesitation, I replied, "Yes." Dad smiled and said, "Good, then you'll leave tomorrow with Ada." I didn't expect this. I felt so happy, and immediately started preparing for the academy. This was the beginnin
g of my new life.
