VERY MANY YEARS AGO (SIDE STORY 2) <VARZIEL'S POV>

Some angels killed demons indiscriminately after finding them in the human realm, which is where they had run off to when they were being chased.

They would be safe.

That had obviously been a lie seeing how his father was missing and Varziel was alone, almost dying of hunger even.

The little girl turned to the older boy, her small hands resting on her hips. "I told you I need to rest, Castiel," she said, her petulant voice sounding melodic in Varziel's ears. It was as though it carried the echoes of a thousand songs. "My feet hurt and it's freezing outside. We can't even fly because of how cold it is."

"You little brat," Castiel sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose in exasperation. "The only reason we aren't flying is because you said your wings hurt; now it is your feet that hurt. Do you want me to toss you off a cliff?"
