THE TEA PARTY WITH THE NOBLE LADIES (3)

"Romantic?" Arella asked.

"Well, demons usually give flowers to their wife after their marriage, but I heard from my husband that many demon kings planted flowers for their wives "

Arella's cheeks flushed lightly at the revelation, though she managed to mask it with a polite smile. The thought of the demon king, her insatiable husband, engaging in such a tradition, and planting a garden by himself, was something she definitely had not anticipated. She glanced at the roses again, the pristine white petals gleaming in the sunlight, and felt an unfamiliar warmth stirring within her.

"How fascinating. In the angel realm, the male usually prepares a gift of light, most of the time it is the form of jewelry, for his wife to be," She tapped on the armrest as she spoke, "This token is imbued with his essence, meant to protect her and in turn signify their bond." She smiled, remembering the anklet that her mother never took off.
