Chapter 59 - Moment

Lucas lounged casually on the sofa, his smirk widening as he watched Diana's demeanor shift completely. The defiance and anger that had previously marked her features were gone, replaced by an almost unsettling softness. Her eyes, once glaring daggers, now gazed at him with a strange, almost flirtatious glint.

She move closer to him, her body language relaxed and inviting. "Lucas," she purred, her voice dripping with a newfound sweetness, "Maybe it's time I show you how much I can… cooperate."

Maya, seated beside Lucas, blinked in surprise. "Diana," she muttered, her voice tinged with irritation and disbelief, "what are you doing?"

Diana ignored her, her attention fully on Lucas. She tilted her head, a playful smile curling on her lips. "Victor never appreciated me, you know," she said softly, her tone almost sultry. "But you… you see me, don't you, Lucas? Maybe you should enjoy everything I have to offer before we show him what he's lost.
