Lucas sighed, leaning back in his chair as he swirled the contents of his mug. The laughter had died down, and now boredom was creeping in fast.

"Alright," he muttered, tapping his fingers against the wooden table. "We've been sitting here long enough. I need to move."

Lena raised an eyebrow. "What, tired of being a professional NPC already? I thought you were finally embracing the lifestyle."

Lucas rolled his eyes. "If I sit here any longer, I'm going to turn into a background prop. We should at least check the guild for commissions."

Lena stretched lazily, her smirk widening. "Ohhh, you mean you wanna go see if your red-haired warrior mommy is still there?"

Lucas groaned. "For the last time, I don't—"

Lena waved a hand. "Yeah, yeah, 'just analyzing her combat techniques.' Sure, buddy. Whatever you say."

Lucas ignored her and stood up. "Let's go before another lunatic walks in here."
