Artemis dragged Chase by the arm, her grip unrelenting. He held her hand, trying to slow her down, but it was like resisting a tidal wave.

"Do we have to?" Chase pleaded, struggling to free himself.

Artemis huffed. "If before you were only taking martial arts, now you're learning all of them. Daring to use me to get rid of Ares… You could've just told me—or better yet, gotten rid of him long before that."

Chase shook his head. "You had to allow me to. If he hadn't killed me first, you never would've agreed to letting me erase him." He dug his heels into the ground, but Artemis was far stronger, dragging him along with no clear destination.

Chase sighed. "I'm sorry."

She stopped. Turning around, she frowned. "Chase, I thought you died… for the second time now. Do you like seeing me cry or something?"

His mind froze. "Of course not."
