Chase now had Aurora in his lap, her tiny hands clutching his shirt as she trembled. At the end of the day, she was still just three years old. The game wasn't necessarily gory or psychological horror—just an onslaught of random jump scares that came when you least expected them. It was fun, sure, but that didn't stop Aurora from yelping and burying her face into his chest every few minutes.

Chase couldn't help but laugh at her reactions, which earned him a light punch to the stomach. "Stop laughing at me!" she huffed, pouting.

He checked the time, sighing. Athena should be out of class by now. Rather than waste energy walking, he simply teleported her to the room.
