Identity Reveal

"We failed. We were defeated, unable to defend the city. We betrayed the trust of the Vampire Council."

"Kill us!"

The two curse-wielders looked at Ian, their eyes determined. They didn't seem to fear death, but they were disappointed in themselves.

On the other hand, the guards on the top of the walls were responsible for artillery, and some who played the role of archers had stopped firing. They drop their weapons in despair with the intention to continue. After all, two of the strongest higher vampire that each fought with their curse sword were defeated so easily. Everyone saw how powerful the giant's laser and it could easily decapitate them. No dared to attract the giant's ire at this moment. They're just guards, the salary of their job wasn't enough to pay for their lives.

The only problem they face now is that some guards have family within the Blood City. As the center of Blood City, there are still the strongest clans with elders behind them. Not to mention the Vampire Council. However, they failed in their role to defend the gate. The Blood City won't easily fall like this.

Surely, the giant in front of them wasn't as strong as Elder, right? As long as the top clans in the city send their elders and top combat forces composed of higher vampires, they should be able to take down the enemy giant!

Hearing this, Ian looked at the two curse wielders down. Well, he didn't want to look down on them like this, but he was just too tall. The battered bodies of the two knights began to regenerate. Ian estimated that it would only take five minutes for them to fully recuperate.

'The regeneration capacity of Higher Vampires is terrifying. Even with such injuries, their arm is already showing signs of regrowing… True vampires can't regrow limbs, but it seems higher vampires are already capable of this?'

Ian chuckled at them. "I do not plan to invade this city, nor do I plan to kill you. I'm also a vampire, so why would I do such a thing?"

As Ian said this, some of the guards above the walls who were ready to run froze, some too stunned to speak.

"You won't kill us?"

"You're a vampire?"

The two curse sword-wielder knights asked in a daze. A question appeared on their mind. Then, why the hell are we desperately fighting!?

Although the two of them weren't afraid of dying. But who really wants to die? Yes, they are willing to sacrifice themselves for the city for the sake of its safety. However, now, they realize their enemy isn't even a real enemy and doesn't have such intention. At this, though, the tense shoulders of everyone present calmed down.

However, their emotions were far from calm… Since when did such a powerful vampire appear in the Blood Realm? Strength that can topple two higher vampires rather easily!

The two guard knights stood up. Since Ian wasn't an enemy, it meant they were out of danger. However, the other party caused such trouble for them. The two didn't feel anger at all. In the Blood Realm, the strong is respected. The giant in front of them defeated them so easily that they were entirely convinced of his strength.

"Hey, does this mean that we are safe?"

"Are you a fool? Of course! That giant must be testing the strength of the Blood City. If he's really a vampire, that is…"

"Yeah, I still have a doubt about that. A vampire with such a behemoth body. This is the first time that I saw something like that. Also, the terrifying laser from his eyes. I think that was his blood ability."

"A unique one. Just who is he? Such a strong powerhouse, yet we don't know anything about him. He must be a reclusive expert in our Blood Realm!"

The guards began to talk excitedly after the danger was gone. In the blood realm, the vampires like to talk about strong experts.

"The two of you… What is your name?"

Ian's deep voice sounded above.

'He doesn't know us, yet he attacked us?' The possessor of Sanguine Requiem couldn't help but complain. "It's incredible that you don't know about us. I am Leo, a higher vampire,e and I'm the user of Sanguine Requiem Curse Sword. As you already know, I can cut the flow of blood with my sword."

Ian nodded when he heard this. "Good name. I really don't know about you, but you guys should know me since we've met earlier." He had a playful smile on his face.

"I am Yuuki, a higher vampire. My blood ability allows me to advance ten steps that I would have taken, and I'm the user of Tenebrous Fang, as you already know…" He stared at Ian, but Ian's head was blocked by the clouds in the sky. He wants to peer the clouds with his sight to determine the identity of the giant, but he doesn't have the ability to do so. 'Have we met before?' I tried to think hard, but it was useless.

In the first place, if they did meet today. He wouldn't have forgotten about it since Ian's huge size was hard to forget. He's very recognizable, right? He would have dementia if he forgot such a special vampire with a gigantic body that could overlook the city.

Ian had a smirk on his face as he saw the two's confused expression. 'Well, that is because I am no longer the previous 6 meters, Ian... I wonder how would they react if they knew that I am the one that had reported earlier?'

Ian's change was just too drastic, after all, in such a short amount of time.

"Hmmm… Now that I thought about it. Y-you're armor is kinda familiar. I didn't think too much of that time due to the happenings, but now…" Leo scrutinized Ian's armor carefully so as not to miss any details.

Red veins marking…

Black streamlined metallic texture.

Leo's eyes widened. "Y-you!? Are you the one earlier that took the audience from the Vampire Council regarding the death of Barseagle!?"

Yuuki's eyes also widened.

"Sharp…" Ian had a look of surprise. He didn't expect Leo to connect the dots. "Indeed…"

HISS!!

Leo and Yuuki took a sharp breath. How is this possible!?
