But Atrox Soryu dreamed of uniting the Empire as the rising star of his Clan. He had the charm and the potential but then it was discovered that he carried the Forbidden Mark Order.

A power that was feared and loathed. In an instant his world was turned upside down, his friends turned their backs on him and his father disowned him, calling him the shame of the Clan. 

He was sent to the borderland where monsters crawled from Rifts to conquer the world. It was here that he would know the terrible secret of the Forbidden Mark Order he carried and the inheritance that comes with it. 

He wanted to build an Empire and he would start from the borderland he was sent to, right from the labor camp.

Building An Empire Starting From The Labor Camp In Exile

Artifacts are categorized in different ways. Enchanted tools are also considered Artifacts, but they are copies, created from the symbols of power found on the real Artifacts in ruins and Rifts.

There are ranks as well—Artifact, Legendary Artifact, Chained Artifact, and then Named Artifact.

The level of power between them is immense, sometimes akin to the gap between Knight ranks. Some even possess a degree of consciousness and intelligence.

So, to hear that the Borderland has a Chained Artifact didn't surprise Atrox, but to think the Commander had one as well, waiting in the Purple Fortress, was astonishing.

"So only a Soryu can use this Chained Artifact?" Atrox asked. He could already imagine the possibilities of what he could do.

"Yes. It's the inspiration for all the other Towers. If you can acquire it and use it, then there's no higher proof because everyone knows that only the Commander can wield it.
