Dividing the Spoils

The Fire Space is a six-star dimensional realm, vast in size, comparable to the entire continent of Asia. It is rich in resources, making it a land of great wealth.

The Fire Dragon is a Saint-level primal beast, one of the most powerful creatures in the Fire Space. There are only a few of them, and due to their long lifespan, this particular Fire Dragon has accumulated many rare and valuable treasures over the years.

Kent instructed A-Long, Green Hair, and Rat to continue searching for nearly three more minutes. Each of them made some discoveries, and Kent himself found something as well.

"Is this divine metal?"

Kent stared at a piece of metal, almost as tall as a man. It was black and gold in color, radiating a cold, chilling aura. The metal appeared to be extraordinary.

Although Kent didn't recognize it, he immediately sensed its incredible value.

He picked it up, using the innate divine strength of the Stone Monkey Wukong, but even he struggled to carry it. It felt as though it weighed tens of thousands of pounds.

"Let's go," Kent ordered, reluctant but resolute.

The three followed his command, suppressing their greed. As remarkable as the treasure was, they had to stay alive to claim it. It had been fifteen minutes since they forced the Fire Dragon out with the help of the patrol officer, and the Fire Dragon was likely returning soon.

The four of them quickly made their way out of the deep cave. They climbed the thousand-meter-high cliff using their respective methods.

Kent used his high-jump ability.

Rat's palms developed suction cups, allowing him to scale the cliff with speed.

Green Hair tied a rope to the hedgehog-like green ball that had transformed, and the ball rolled up the cliff rapidly, unaffected by gravity, carrying Green Hair along with it.

Brother Long summoned his Beast Mastery, calling forth a large green serpent. The serpent swiftly climbed the cliff, and Brother Long clung tightly to its body.

As they emerged from the cave, their expressions changed. A massive sea of fire surged toward them, and within it, the enormous Fire Dragon could be seen.

"Quick, let's go. The Fire Dragon is back."

Kent led the group quickly down the mountain to a concealed spot, avoiding the Fire Dragon's line of sight.

A minute later, the Fire Dragon dove from the sky, landing in the volcano.

The four of them hurriedly reappeared, rushing toward the base of the mountain. At that moment, a figure appeared in the distance, moving rapidly on the wind. In about a minute, it landed in front of Kent and the others.

"Uncle Qian, are you alright?"

Kent noticed that Qian Zhenqian's face looked pale and immediately asked.

"I've suffered some minor injuries, but it's nothing serious. Who are these three?" Qian Zhenqian coldly glanced at A-Long, Green Hair, and Rat.

Kent quickly explained, "These are my new subordinates, Uncle Qian. The Fire Dragon will soon realize that its lair has been raided. We need to leave quickly."

Qian Zhenqian waved his hand, summoning four gusts of wind that landed beneath their feet, lifting them into the air. Together, they flew toward the exit of the Fire Space.

Three minutes later, the furious roar of the Fire Dragon echoed from behind. It soared into the sky, and upon spotting the small human figures in the distance, began to chase them.

"That beast found us too quickly," Qian Zhenqian said, exerting his full strength to maintain the wind currents.

Fortunately, the Fire Dragon's speed was only slightly faster, and the distance was only around two hundred miles. It would take less than ten minutes for them to escape.

"Uncle Qian, hold on. I still have a companion below."

As they neared the exit of the Fire Space, Kent called out to the ground below. From a hidden position, Fan Qingmei immediately appeared, and a gust of wind swept her up.

"We're out of here."

The Fire Dragon was still a dozen miles away, giving them enough time to escape. It was difficult for primal beasts to leave their dimensional realms, especially for those as powerful as the Fire Dragon. The stronger the beast, the greater the cost of leaving its native space. However, there was no guarantee that the Fire Dragon wouldn't frantically follow them out.

"Uncle Qian, do you think it will follow us?" Kent asked, his concern evident.

"No, it won't. If it tries to leave, its power will be suppressed by the space forces of Earthstar. It won't be able to catch up to us," Qian Zhenqian explained.

Kent nodded, understanding that only contracted primal beasts would not be affected by Earthstar's spatial forces.

Two minutes later, the five of them left the Fire Space and continued flying for over a hundred miles until they reached a snowy mountain range, where they finally landed.

Kent noticed that Qian Zhenqian's face had become even graver. He had already been injured, and the Storm Battle Technique had drained much of his vital energy. After flying over three hundred miles with the others, he was on the verge of exhaustion.

Sure enough, as soon as they landed in the valley, Qian Zhenqian, his face flushed red, couldn't help but cough up a few mouthfuls of blood.

He waved his hand, summoning the Silver Moon Wolf to protect him.

Seeing this, Kent said, "You three, don't just stand there, quickly create a cave dwelling."

The three immediately got to work, and within five minutes, they had built a large cave. Everyone, including the now-shrunken Silver Moon Wolf, moved inside.

Inside the cave, several fire pits were soon lit to dispel the cold. Qian Zhenqian took a pill, closed his eyes, and meditated. After ten minutes, he opened his eyes, looking much better.

He then turned to Kent, his expression puzzled.

Kent introduced the three to him. Seeing that Kent had already made them his subordinates, Qian Zhenqian didn't say anything further.

Kent immediately took out all the items they had collected from the Fire Dragon's lair: Fire Dragon Flowers, Fire Dragon Eggs, Fire Dragon Scales, Moonlight Stones, a pile of ores, an unidentified piece of metal, and a mysterious bucket of liquid.

He then looked at A-Long and the others, who obediently handed over their spoils.

Qian Zhenqian's eyes burned with greed as he gazed at the pile of treasures in front of him. His breathing became rapid.

Kent noticed this and said, "Uncle Qian, if it weren't for your daring efforts to hold off the Fire Dragon, we would never have succeeded. These treasures are all yours."

Qian Zhenqian immediately shook his head. "Kent, you're mistaken. These items are yours, as you brought them out. I don't want to take everything for myself. Here's the deal: I'll take thirty percent. As for your three companions, I'll leave twenty percent for them, considering you."

Kent had no objections. While the items were valuable, if it weren't for Qian Zhenqian's efforts to keep the Fire Dragon at bay and ensure their escape, they wouldn't have obtained any of them.

Although Kent had the Light Devouring Shadow Beast to help, he would only have been able to steal a Fire Dragon Blood Flower at most, with some risk involved.

A-Long and the others breathed a sigh of relief, their faces showing a hint of joy. Their haul wasn't much, but even twenty percent was a significant amount for them.

"Alright, we'll do as Uncle Qian suggested." Kent thought for a moment and then asked, "By the way, Uncle Qian, I don't recognize these items. Could you help me assess their value?"

"Of course," Qian Zhenqian said, immediately beginning to explain. "The Fire Dragon Flowers, Fire Dragon Grass, Fire Dragon Eggs, and Fire Dragon Scales speak for themselves. As for this Moonlight Stone, I'm sure you've already heard of it."
