"Ah~"
Huang Jintian let out a muffled groan. Though he tried to suppress the pain, the sound was still quite loud, and many spectators heard it.
"Not bad, at least you didn't scream in pain," Kent nodded, raising his foot and kicking towards Huang Jintian's abdomen.
"Bang!"
Huang Jintian was immediately sent flying seven or eight meters away, crashing heavily into the ground. Thankfully, the arena was made of a particularly tough material, or the ground might have cracked.
The force of the kick was considerable. Even with the Immortal Stone Beast's stone skin protection, the impact still sent vibrations through his body, making his internal organs feel uncomfortable.
Huang Jintian twitched a few times on the ground, struggling to push himself up with his hands. When he raised his eyes to look at Kent, blood dripped from the corner of his mouth, and his energy seemed drained, appearing gravely wounded.
"You... Kent, you... won," Huang Jintian managed to say, his voice barely audible.
Despite the Immortal Stone Beast's strong recovery ability, which enhanced his own, Huang Jintian was not capable of continuing the fight in the short term. He understood his condition, and though extremely unwilling, he chose to admit defeat.
Kent nodded slightly.
From Huang Jintian's expression, it was clear that he was still somewhat dissatisfied with the result of the duel. At least in terms of raw power, he probably didn't feel that much weaker. As for why he lost so badly, he likely thought it was due to overconfidence—if there were a rematch, he believed the outcome would be different.
Kent didn't care about his thoughts. He only recognized the result.
"Garfield, come back." Kent gestured, and Garfield abandoned the Immortal Stone Beast, quickly dashing back in a blur.
"Kent challenges the number one spot on the Wind and Cloud Rankings, Kent wins and takes the top position," the referee announced loudly.
"Is that it?"
"Huang Jintian was supposed to be very strong, right? His Immortal Stone Beast has evolved to the top tier of the Heavenly class at level 50. His strength should have increased significantly compared to before. How could he lose?"
"Kent just won like that? It was too easy, only a few rounds, and Huang Jintian was heavily injured."
Upon hearing the referee's announcement of the outcome, most of the spectators were stunned, surprised by how quickly it ended.
It wasn't their fault; the arena was so vast that most of the audience couldn't hear what the contestants were saying. After all, no one would bring a loudspeaker to a match.
So, while they saw Kent injure Huang Jintian, they didn't realize how severe his injuries were. They thought Huang Jintian still had some strength left and that his initial carelessness was to blame—he'd surely be able to turn things around once he got serious.
However, the referee's loud announcement left everyone stunned. They didn't expect such a highly anticipated battle to end so quickly and simply, which was a bit disappointing.
Nonetheless, the spectators who supported Kent cheered loudly. Kent was just too strong—he defeated Huang Jintian, who had held the top spot on the Wind and Cloud Rankings for over a year, in just a few moves. It was truly exhilarating.
"I know you're still not convinced, but that doesn't matter," Kent shook his head and turned to walk off the stage.
"Huang Jintian, don't get too cocky. I just got careless this time. If there's a next time, your fate will be worse than mine," Huang Jintian shouted loudly at Kent.
However, Kent didn't even look back.
"Next time? Hmph!" Kent's lips curled into a dismissive smile. If there were a next time, Huang Jintian's fate would only be worse.
Amid the gaze of countless eyes, Kent returned to his seat. His early graduation was now assured.
"Kent, you... how are you so powerful? Are we even in the same world? You're like a monster," the class president, Cai Wensheng, approached with an admiring tone.
The other classmates also looked at him with burning curiosity.
But Kent knew better. He was about to graduate early, and he wouldn't have much more interaction with these classmates in the short term. Any future interactions would likely be years down the line when they had gained enough strength to be worth his time.
"It's just the first spot, nothing special," Kent replied nonchalantly. "If my only goal was this first place, that would really be a problem."
Hearing such a bold and indifferent response, Cai Wensheng opened his mouth, wanting to argue, but it seemed pointless.
Kent's strength and age were already well-known. With his immense potential, his future would undoubtedly be more magnificent.
"Class president Cai, there's something I need to tell you."
Seeing that Cai Wensheng was getting frustrated, Kent couldn't help but smile. Perhaps their difference in standing was too great now—Cai Wensheng could do nothing against him, and even his tone was beginning to falter.
"You can say it,"Cai Wensheng replied, feeling pleased. Kent wanted to talk to him—maybe he'd done well enough to get involved in some big project, which would definitely boost his prospects.
With Kent's current status and abilities, anything he did would attract a lot of attention, and aligning with him would be a sure path to success.
Realizing this, Cai Wensheng became more respectful and humble.
Kent didn't pay much attention to the change in his demeanor. He calmly said, "In a few days, I'll be leaving."
"What? Are you going out to train during the summer break? Where?" Cai Wensheng asked, his tone concerned.
Kent shook his head, amused. "Not for training, I'm graduating early."
"What?"
Cai Wensheng exclaimed in shock. Graduating early? What was going on?
Not just Cai Wensheng, but some classmates who had been closely watching Kent also reacted with surprise. Early graduation? My God, are you serious? You're in your first year and graduating already? What's going on?
To make sure he hadn't heard wrong, Cai Wensheng took a deep breath and then asked seriously, "Kent, are you saying you've completed all the courses for our major, applied for early graduation, and met the conditions for it?"
"That's right. Maybe you didn't know, but I've been undergoing assessments for the past few days and passed all of them," Kent said matter-of-factly.
"My God, Kent, you... are you trying to become immortal?" Cai Wensheng was utterly incredulous. "Four written exams, six practical exams—those are tough! Every year, some seniors can't even pass them and have to retake them. You finished all this in one year? There's no way they lowered the requirements, right? I remember every exam needs at least a 70 to pass."
