PARKING FOR THE TRIP
Packing was harder than I thought it'd be. Not because we had too much stuff, but because Hannah kept second-guessing every outfit I picked.
"Sophie, do you really think I'll need this dress?" she asked, holding up a floral sundress.
"Yes, Hannah. Paris is all about cute outfits. Trust me, you'll thank me later," I said, tossing it into her suitcase.
She sighed but didn't argue further. I zipped her bag shut and started on mine. Hannah sat on the edge of the bed, watching me with a frown.
"Do you think this trip is a good idea?" she asked softly.
I paused, looking at her. "Yes, Hannah. We both need this. You've been through a lot, and honestly, I need a break too. Paris will be good for us."
She nodded, though I could see the doubt lingering in her eyes. I decided not to push it.
