He frowned, doubt creeping into his mind. It didn't make sense. Helena had already submitted her own admission form earlier that day, which meant she'd taken care of her fees. How could she have overlooked Aria's?

No, it wasn't possible. Helena wouldn't have forgotten. She was reliable, wasn't she?

And yet, the nagging feeling wouldn't leave him. Was Aria lying? Was this some kind of ploy? Or had there been a genuine mistake?

Darius pushed back his chair, standing abruptly. He couldn't let this go unanswered. If Aria was up to something, he intended to find out. Without another thought, he left the office, his steps quick as he followed in the direction Aria had gone.

Aria had barely made it halfway down the corridor when she heard rapid footsteps behind her. A familiar voice, sharp and laced with irritation, called out.
