SOPHIE’S AWAKENING

Early in the morning, Sophie was walking alone along a familiar trail, she needed a lot time to think, to process everything that had happened in the last few days.

The fight with Kael, the fractures in the pack, and the weight of her bloodline were also disturbing her.

But it was not just the pressure of the pack alone but also something that was inside her.

A strange energy, low but present, had been hiding beneath the surface.

At first, she thought it was stress, but now it felt very different.

She stopped beside a stream, kneeling to splash cool water on her face.

As her fingers touched the surface of the water, a ripple of warmth shot up her arm, startling her.

"What the hell?" she said in low voice, looking at her hand.

The water was waving faintly, as if responding to her touch. Sophie frowned, placing her palm flat against the surface.

The warmth increased, and the water began to shine softly.
