CHAPTER 3: THE RISE TO POWER

Julian now Asani Yazid is in a border town of the human kingdom of Tukufu, named Deka town. The town is bordering the werewolf and vampire kingdoms. Julian now has reincarnated as Asani Yazid, a young seventeen-year-old boy who wanted to be a merchant and matter to his society.

He was hated by the same society, not only because of his ambitions, but because he had a weak magical affinity, betrayed some of the people in the town, and also the fact that he is part of the Advena tribe, who are also dubbed the betrayers of the human race.

To change the view of Asani and also achieve the dreams he had aspired to, he had to set a plan in motion, and he had to do it fast or he may lose his life. Considering he has a chance for a second family and a way to help his new family, something he couldn't do in his previous life.

The first thing Julian does is study the lyca system that Blank told him to use, to gauge his magic affinity. He then discovers that he is a dual user, meaning he can use more than one magic element. He found out he could use both dark and fire elements. The lyca system has a pop-up window display that tracks and records his achievements while giving him a warning if his life is in danger.

He then starts creating a training regiment. He gets to increase his magic affinity for every exercise he does twenty reps. He continued to exercise and condition his body. He then starts to practice magic powers. He already has the basic fundementals but he needs more to improve. He looks for books at the small library in town and looks for magic books, that focus on both magical practicality and combat practically.

At the Library, he noticed that he is seen with such disdain from the people in the Library. He decides to avoid them and focus on the task at hand. He then looks for magical books. He goes to the front desk to ask for a specific book from a librarian. A woman with blonde hair, and a red strand of hair that went along with her ponytail hairstyle, skin as white as snow with a wide blossom of a smile welcomed Asani with warmth. Her name was Julia Smith and she was wearing a white and blue long dress with a bow on her neck.

Asani was taken aback by her pleasant attitude. But then he noticed something. The lady at the desk was blind. He then understood why he wasn't looked at with disdain. He then asked for a magic book that helps in learning magic for domestic use and also one for combat.

"Hello reader how may I be of service, " she stated with a lovely warm smile.

"O..oh hello there miss, I..I ummm, I was wondering if I could get a book on the basics of magic and one on combat.

"Understood, for security, we require you to state the reason for acquiring the books, " she stated adamantly.

"Well for the magic book, I want to improve my magic so that I can help my family with the chores," Asani explained.

"Understood what else do you need? " She replied earnestly

" I book for magical combat," Asani stated.

The librarian then moved her hands into an orb that had magical properties. She then uses it to search for the books that Asani can use. She then finds one for domestic use and another for combat.

She then told Asani that he needed to have a military or guard identification card. If he lucks both he can also have a notification card from the adventure guild or the student card if he is part of the noble school in town, if he wants to learn how to use books for magical combat. He is then told to provide the card, but he doesn't have one, considering he is part of the farming class.

Asani then notices that he is being eyed by a popular adventurer named Blake Hudson. Blake was a popular adventurer from an adventuring party called Blue Crimsons. He was a tall young adventurer that had dark hair a tanned face and a small scar on his right chic. He was always greedy and enthusiastic about going to a new dungeon to get new treasures. He was also cruel to some adventurers and would sometimes still their loot after a dungeon.

Asani used to work as a server. Servers worked essentially as part of the party that would carry important tools for the party and would also detect the monsters that have high Navitas power, and look for dungeons. Asani was reluctant to do it because he dreamed of being a merchant. He then decided to do it, to establish a connection within the adventurer communities to achieve his dream of being a merchant.

The problem was that Asani wasn't a good server and he struggled a lot, but he made everyone believe he wasn't a good server. He would sometimes give the party the wrong information about the high affinity of Navita's power on the magical monsters and other creatures. And he would sometimes lead the team into going into not-so-profitable dungeons. It was later known by Hudson and his team that Asani did that to sell the best Dungeons and powerful monsters that even the adventure guild wasn't aware of to the highest bidder. This made the guild cancel his membership.

Asani noticing Hudson decides to borrow the book for domestic use and repursues the books to use them for magical combat. With the skills of doing basic martial arts and fencing in his past life to woe a client who preferred it rather than classic businessmen playing golf in rich member clubs. Although he can attack Hudson, the problem is that Hudson is Domnus level 5 and his crew is Privatus level 6. It will be difficult to take them on.

He then leaves the library and decides to make a run for it to not get captured. He then hides in the endless maze of the small business district. Where he meets an artificer in a run-down shop fixing magical gadgets, named Sadiki Abedi. At first, sadiki is reluctant but Asani tries to convince him that he may have an offer that would make his shop known not only within the border town but across the entire Kingdom.

"p..pl..please sir, let me hide in your shop," Asani granted as he was out of breath, "I promise I will make it worth your while."

"Go away vermin and I don't play for the same team how dare you suggest such nonsense to me," Abedi protested vehemently."

"What? No that's not what I meant. Asani denied it immediately, "I meant I can make your business successful if we can work together,"

"Oh, so you want to con me is that it? Abedi stated aggressively while holding a stick pointing at Asani who raised his hands.

Their conversation was interrupted when a young woman working for Abedi named Mabel Brown came to the aid of Asani. Mabel was a young teenage girl with blue silky hair, a round blushed face and a tanned body with big warm kind eyes, wearing overalls. Mabel then convinces Abedi to hide Asani and later has him as a customer since they haven't had any customers since morning and having at least one should help. Abedi reluctantly agrees and Asani hides inside the shop, as Mabel directs him to a safe place to hide. Mabel then whispers to Asani that he is only helping because of her sister considering they're friends.

Just then Hudson arrives with his crew and is confronted by Mabel and Abedi who don't like Hudson due to his poor behaviour as a regular customer.

"Hey old man have you seen an Annoying Advena worm run past here," Hudson asked rudely.

"Who are you calling an old man? Youngsters have no respect for their elders these days," Abedi stated with anger, you better leave my shop before I beat you up,"

"Calm down old man, what's with all this hostility," Hudson stated connivingly, I just want to know where the worm went.

Just then their conversation is interrupted as Mabel comes back and gives Hudson a stern warning to leave as she reminds him of the debt he has of the shop.

"Let me handle this Mr Abedi," Mabel stated with sternness.

"Mabel my pretty priciness, how is work with the old treating you?" Hudson asked rudely while leaning towards Mabel whose back is against the wall.

"I would advise you not to address me rudely or I will be forced to use excessive measures," Mabel answered with her kind eyes turned to a very cold stare.

"Okay I will back off, but no this if I find out that you're hiding that worm, I won't go easy on you next time.

"You also owe the shop sixteen Fulvus coins for the equipment upgrade you took last week," Mabel stated sternily.

"Oh, my Tellus! Okay already I said I'll pay," Hudson exclaimed.

Hudson goes away together with his crew who are glaring at Mabel in a very inappropriate and suggestive manner. This makes Mr Abedi angrier but Mabel decides to calm him down due to his health not being tip top shape. Mabel and Abedi then wait until night so that can be safe for Asani to leave.

Mabel was also keeping an Eye outside so that he could see if Hudson left one of his people to spy on the shop, but that wasn't the case. When Mabel closed the shop, Asani decided to show Mabel and Abedi the project he was working on to protect the town from a goblin attack that happened especially during the famine period that happened after a couple of years.
