Chapter 126: The Celestial Dragons' National Treasure

The once bustling square of Loguetown suddenly fell into complete silence.

The distant onlookers, the many East Blue pirates coldly observing from the crowd, the Marines trying to disperse the people...

All voices ceased at this moment. Everyone raised their heads, staring blankly at Sig on the execution platform.

What just happened?

They must have misheard, right?

What the hell is Another Piece?

After a brief moment of silence, the entire square erupted into loud laughter and chatter.

"The One Piece of the Pirate King contains all his wealth, power, and fame. What does your treasure have to dare make such a claim?"

"Showing off your English skills here? Another Piece?"

"You're just a rookie pirate with a bounty of nearly 200 million berries. How much wealth could you possibly have?"

"Sig! Your title is the Mountain Bandit King of the East Blue. Do you really think you're the Pirate King of the East Blue?"

Facing the ridicule and chatter of the crowd, Sig let out a scoff.

"Ignorant."

His gaze turned slightly cold as he looked down at the crowd below, forcefully amplifying his voice with the amplifier to drown out the noise.

"It seems you know nothing about me. You don't even understand why I attacked the Celestial Dragons back then."

Sig sneered.

His serious tone made many frown, but some began to ponder deeply.

When it came to Sig's most famous feat, it was his attack on the Celestial Dragons in the Kingdom of Goa in the East Blue.

"Is he hinting that this treasure is related to the Celestial Dragons?"

Someone in the crowd raised the question, causing many to change their expressions.

The wealth possessed by the Celestial Dragons was astronomical!

"Could the truth behind the Celestial Dragon incident in the Kingdom of Goa be that Sig robbed the Celestial Dragons, and the World Government covered it up?"

"Hey, Sig! Is your treasure related to the Celestial Dragons?"

Someone in the crowd shouted toward Sig on the execution platform.

In response, Sig smiled.

"It seems there are still smart people in this world. The One Piece of the Pirate King contains his power, wealth, and fame..."

"As for my great treasure, it is indeed related to the secrets of the Celestial Dragons."

Sig deliberately drew out his words, leaving his sentence unfinished.

"What is it? Hurry up and tell us!" someone couldn't help but urge.

Sig's mind raced. This lie was something he had come up with on the spot, without much thought.

But now, it seemed that if he didn't come up with something truly convincing, he would be in trouble.

"The secrets of the Celestial Dragons..."

An idea flashed through Sig's mind, making his heart race.

He looked down at the crowd below, weighing his words carefully before finally speaking:

"My great treasure is tied to a certain national treasure possessed by the Celestial Dragons. Its mere existence is enough to shake the entire world."

As soon as these words left his mouth, Vice Admiral Momousagi's expression changed drastically. She didn't have time to issue any orders before her sword was halfway out of its sheath.

But in the same instant, a flash of green sword light appeared.

A narrow crack split the ground half a meter in front of Momousagi, and a pair of golden eyes locked onto her.

On the other side.

The air was suddenly filled with swirling sand, and a figure emerged from the dust.

"Marines, what are you so worried about? Afraid of the Celestial Dragons' secrets being exposed?"

Amidst the swirling sand, Crocodile's face revealed a cold smile as he looked at Sig on the execution platform with interest.

"A national treasure of the Celestial Dragons? Something whose mere existence can shake the world?"

"Sig, your words sound just like Doflamingo's!"

"Go on. Is the Celestial Dragons' national treasure you're talking about the legendary Ancient Weapon capable of destroying the world?"

Crocodile's words sent shockwaves through everyone's hearts.

Another Warlord had appeared.

And not only that, Crocodile had mentioned a third Warlord, the Heavenly Yaksha, Donquixote Doflamingo!

And an Ancient Weapon capable of destroying the world...?

Seeing the interested expression on Crocodile's face, Sig's heart skipped a beat.

Another troublemaker had arrived.

Ancient Weapons... Sig had no idea if they were connected to the Celestial Dragons' national treasure that Doflamingo had mentioned.

But he did know a little more than others.

Thinking this, Sig's face revealed a mysterious smile.

"I can only tell you this: among the three Ancient Weapons, Pluton and Poseidon are not in the hands of the Celestial Dragons!"

"As for the rest, it will be revealed when my treasure is made public."

Crocodile narrowed his eyes, his smile growing even colder.

Sig's ambiguous answer seemed to leave him unsatisfied.

"Is that so?" Crocodile raised his voice, not looking at Sig but instead addressing the crowd:

"I suppose your treasure, along with the Celestial Dragons' national treasure, came from the Celestial Dragons' vault."

"Over twenty years ago, there was a theft in Mary Geoise."

"The vault of that Celestial Dragon family contained treasures accumulated over hundreds of years. Just a fraction of it would be enough to buy an entire country."

"And from this theft, you not only obtained wealth rivaling nations but also the Celestial Dragons' national treasure?"

With each sentence Crocodile spoke, the crowd's eyes grew more fervent.

By the time he finished, everyone's eyes seemed to burn with desire.

The Celestial Dragons' vault, wealth enough to buy several countries, and... the power to destroy the world, the Celestial Dragons' national treasure...

The entire square was in an uproar.

......

On the execution platform, Sig felt a bitter taste in his heart.

Crocodile, that old schemer, had deliberately stirred the pot after failing to get the answer he wanted from Sig, throwing a massive accusation onto his shoulders!

As for that theft from the Celestial Dragons' vault in Mary Geoise over twenty years ago, Sig had never even heard of it!

A chill ran down Sig's spine, and he couldn't help but glance at Momousagi below the platform.

Sig was about to outright deny it, but before the words could leave his mouth, a flood of thoughts rushed through his mind, and he swallowed them back.

"If I deny it, then where did my treasure come from?"

Sig's brows furrowed deeply. This accusation was something he couldn't fully accept, yet he couldn't outright reject it either.

It seemed like the only plausible explanation to support the existence of his so-called great treasure.

He hadn't anticipated this step or how to justify it.

Originally, this grand deception was a lie Sig had come up with on the spot after seeing Momousagi and Hawkeye appear. He hadn't had time to think about how to back it up.

"Hey, Mountain Bandit King, tell us where exactly your Another Piece is hidden!"

"Is it in the East Blue? Is it in the Kingdom of Goa?"

With Vice Admiral Momousagi questioning him, some people had already begun to take an interest in the Mountain Bandit King's treasure.

Sig's expression shifted slightly.

He couldn't avoid this question.

If he didn't answer, and someone actually went to the Kingdom of Goa, eventually dragging Luffy and the others into this mess... Garp's Fist of Love would come knocking!

"I hid it deep within the Red Line..."

Sig spoke vaguely, not giving any specific details.

After all, he had little knowledge of the Red Line and couldn't name any specific locations.
