Wave after wave of Voidspawns attacked Reid and Owen and each wave met the same fate,
Getting devoured by Beel.
At this point, they had gotten so far into the cave without having to even lift a finger as Beel did all the work, which it was really excited to.
"More, more, more," Beel repeated, his voice filled with eager excitement.
The sight reminded Reid of a child sitting at a table, tapping their spoon impatiently while demanding more food.
The only difference was that Beel's "meal" consisted of Voidspawns vanishing into the abyss of his bottomless stomach.
"Seriously, should I just head back outside and find a tree to sleep in?" Owen asked, crossing his arms. "You two seem to have this handled."
Before Reid could respond, the cavern trembled again, this time with a deep, growl that reverberated through the walls.
The air grew colder, heavier, and the endless spawning of Voidspawns ceased all at once.
