Soft morning light poured into the room.Isla and Leo whispered secrets to each other. Meanwhile Ever hummed a tune in the kitchen why she worked.
"Leo," Isla whispered, her voice brimming with determination, "Let's call our daddy."
Leo frowned. "But Mommy said Daddy is far away."
Isla nodded solemnly. "Then why does Mommy always get nervous when she talks about him?"
Leo tilted his head, considering. "Maybe it's because she loves him."
"Then we should tell him!" Isla declared, her eyes lighting up.
Later morning as Ever was occupied with paperwork. Isla sneaked her mom's phone her lips barely chanting Allesandro before tapping his number.
Alessandro sat in his office, buried in contracts, when his phone buzzed. Seeing Ever's name, he answered immediately, his tone curious. "Ever?"
"Hi, Daddy! It's me, Isla!"
Alessandro's heart skipped a beat at the sound of her tiny voice. "Isla? Why are you calling me?"
