Trapped

Natalia sat at the wooden dining table of the countryside farmhouse, her hands trembling as she clutched the warm cup of tea Ambrose 's mother had given her.

"I don't understand why you won't believe me," Natalia pleaded, her voice shaky but firm. "Ambrose brought me here against my will. I need to get out of here."

Abrose's mother, Mrs. Li, gave her a pitying look before shaking her head. "My son told us everything, dear. Pregnancy has been hard on you, and you're confused. He loves you, and he brought you here so we could take care of you."

Natalia's stomach twisted. "That's a lie!" she snapped, gripping the edge of the table. "Ambrose kidnapped me! He's lying to you. Please, just let me call someone—"

Mr. Li slammed his palm on the table, making her flinch. "Enough! We won't have you disrespecting our son in this house. You should be grateful he's willing to raise this child."
